Makes sense. Would I then use the 1F connector on the ECU for the V5's? Or do you recommend doing something different?

    Actually this is cheaper:

V5's have the wires, so they'd just follow the turn signal (+) from the added harness to the door boot, out to cabin. (1F_30 DRL) Turn wire to the C10 harness.

Yeah that makes more sense. Only thing I was wondering is how you add the terminal the the 1F_30 since its empty on the one side. Is there certain tool to do so easily?

I haven't been able to ID the missing terminal type yet, there is a person on here that I'm waiting on (still).
Another person has used a matching size wire and inserted it to fit the space and glued it in place, secured the wiggle with small zip ties.

I’d argue that the electrically savvy people would prefer not to alter their factory wiring and/or risk cutting an ECU or combination meter wire with a t-tap.

I agree with this. I can tap it, but I don’t want to screw with the factory stuff on a brand new truck.

That must’ve been some sketchy work seeing as the OEM tailgate lock kit (p/n PK3B6-35JS0) comes with a breakout harness identical to the style I produce to prevent the use of t-taps. Toyota would agree that a breakout harness is superior to a t-tap in every way, shape, and form other than cost.

I bought an SR5 several months ago that came with signal mirrors among other cosmetic upgrades. The mirrors are heated, and powered, but no power to the lights. Looks like this harness will get that lit up. Can i please be added to the list if they are still being made?

    Thank you

I ordered a SR5 with blind spot monitoring. Will it have the signals in the side view mirrors? If not, sign me up!

Hey there - I’m not making these anymore unless someone truly wants it ($$). They are very labor intensive, and the connectors are sourced directly from Japan which carries a huge shipping premium on its own. There aren’t any alternative connectors I have found, unfortunately.

When I did my radio installs, I added an auxiliary fuse box to power everything, specifically to avoid tapping into any of the factor harness. I used a piggyback fuse block in order to power the dimmer in the scanner when the lights were turned on.

I've been doing stereo/CB/scanner/two way radio installs since the early 1970s, but with the complexity and cost of modern vehicle electronics it's best to avoid cutting into any factory circuit.

On a different note, it appears that the instrument cluster needs to be pulled out. How complex a job is that?

Yanking the cluster is really easy. Some directions are here.

Most unfortunate, but understandable. I have been driving around for almost 6 months with lights in my mirrors that don't light up. I'd like to change that.

Would you provide the cable I did all the wiring already from the doors in thinking thatbtappingbfromnthe fuse box would work but it wouldn't, so I need to test each but I'm afraid to ground a wrong wire to the airbags and activate them.

How much are we talking about? $100 for the harness? $400 for the harness?

I'd like to get some turn signal lights in my SR5 and I've called about 5-6 local shops and no one does this type of work :(

    Yes

Feeling your pain. The SR5 I got came with the signal mirrors but not hooked up. Been wishing for a harness for almost 2 years to get them flashing. If they would also go with drl I'd be over the moon.
