I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma with the v6 with a supercharger. The dealer said that they have to remove the supercharger to change the plugs. Thanks in advance

Here is a nice how-to for a plug change on a non SC motor.

If you'll search within the thread itself for 'supercharger' you'll find that the driver side is the issue. But the R&R time shouldn't be awful.

You might decide to try a DIY, take your time, and bond with your truck.

Or at least find a quality independent shop that will have a considerably lower hourly rate.

Thanks for the heads up. The dealer doesn't know how to work around the TRD Supercharger. What a shame, guess that's why they don't make them any more.

It's probably standard procedure for the tech to remove the supercharger for the plug change to correlate to labor charges. Even if the tech knows how to change the plugs without removing the charger (dealership wouldn't tell you and still charge standard labor rates). If you can wrench a little try to diy like Clearwater Bill said above.. Just make sure you move all the vacuum lines and stuff out of the way and it will be way easier. I have an 07 so engine bay may be a little different, but driver side took me just over an hour taking my time and using the 3/8" drive extensions and universal adapter. Goodluck.
