A friend has one for his VFR and really likes it. I have one of these:
    https://www.legalspeeding.com/products.htm#.X2zrQWhKgUE

They definitely make wheeling the bike around the garage very enjoyable. Flipping ends is no problem and the fam can move it, risk free.

It depends on the bike. Mine has a notorious side stand that known to crack out crankcases when doing that.

A friend of mine had one before she moved for her Weestrom. Great for storage, not so great for every day riding. The little wheels like to skid across smooth surfaces when you're trying to load a bike up and onto it. Once on though it was easy to slide around.

My bike desperately needs some maintenance work done. Anyone know of some local (Bothell area) shops that would work on BMW?

Needs oil, chain, and possibly tires.

2 wheel dynoworks in kirkland probably would. I think theres a new bmw dealer in lake city that opened after the other one closed. Haven't heard much about them though. Just a couple more options. Really, the oil and chain are easy enough to do yourself. Its the tires that are a real bitch...I do have some tire irons and wheel protectors you can borrow if you feel like punishing yourself someday.

Are you thinking of Motoplex in Lynnwood? They also have Ducati now. Just crazy.

I have a wheel holder and mount / demount tool. I enjoy doing it, but my balance method is 8oz of Slime.

Y'all think a guy asking for a place to do an oil change is gonna be the dude to bust out tire spoons and spend 3 hours sweating and swearing tryin to get a tire off? If you're gonna bother with your own tire changes at least get a No-mar

No, wasn't thinking of the motoplex, although I've been down there a couple times to check out the ftr. Was thinkin over by where the Ducati/bmw dealer that went out of business on lake city hwy a year or 2 ago. Thought I seen a new one open up near there, or maybe I'm crazy and its always been there. I'd google it, but then I'd be up all night looking at bikes.

I'd love to have a good tire changing set up. Just don't have the space

You can do it up at my place, I think I gave away my chain press tool tho, but tires, that's one thing I was always happy to pay someone to do

    Interesting. I do some googling.

I was by the old place a week or so ago and it is still vacant. Stupid business moves by the person who bought it and hosed up the Redmond situation.

Mine is just small wheel holder that I fasten to concrete anchors in the garage floor when I need it.

    Same here.

This was all that came up on the Beemer site. I bought my Ural from the folks in Ferndale. Super laid back and helpful.

BMW of Seattle is at the old Lake City BMW, which then became Ducati Seattle before it folded. Not sure who owns it now, maybe the guys that own South Sound. I'd still recommend OPM for service, I know everyone there very well, the head mechanic Michael is incredible. 2WDW used to be great, but the owner is a dirtbag

Didn't think for a minute he wanted to change his own tires, was just fn around.

I got a complete front/rear tire change down to about an hour and a half .....total pain in the ass but faster than taking them somewhere which is the only reason I keep doin it. A no mar would be sweet if I had the space...i should get one and bolt it to the sidewalk haha

Since were talking equipment, this is my mount / demount bar:
    https://no-scufftiretool.com/

    Works great.

    This is my wheel holder:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001P4BWN4

I would not recommend that one exactly has it needed mods and grinding to work and not damage wheels.

I bolt that to my garage floor with hurricane anchors:
    https://www.amazon.com/Anchors-Concrete-Hurricane-Shutter-Sidewalk/dp/B08DL6WJC1

If anyone would like to go that route, I have about 20 of those anchors leftover. Haha!

In the end a pretty cheap setup. Less than the harder to store HF unit.
