Cool, I'm in Bothell and work in Woodinville and am in your area all the time. Let me know when you want to meet up.

I'm going to put my name down for anyone that needs parts/tools/specialty items. I currently have the ECGS bushing tool, axle nut socket and seal pressers lent to another local member. I also have motorcycle tools (shock/fork service, chain and sprockets tools, and more).

I'm located in Tualatin/Tigard and commute to Portland for school. I am new to the area but all the locals have already made me feel at home. I would like to offer my help and/or tools to anyone that needs.

I also like fishing, riding dirt bikes, off road exploration and camping. Making new friends and learning the area would be fun!

Forgot I had this. Found it when I put my motor in my car and could finally get onto the bottom drawer of my toolbox..

I have a bad habit of needing something one time, so I just buy it then use it and put it in the toolbox or storage. I have a HF planishing hammer and stand I still havent used.... Compression and leakdown testers in the box with one use each.
I need to downsize some day.

Is there anyone in the greater Snohomish county area (or even Seattle) that would be willing to help me with my lift? I don’t have the tools and I don’t want to get in over my head, but I’d really like to learn. Looking at 5100’s up front and just a single AAL in the back so basic tools and a spring compressor. Probably in the next month or two (whenever I have time).

I'm willing to help. I have all the tools you need including spring compressors that I'm borrowing from @Bertw192 (btw - let me know when you need these back). I just did a 3 leaf AAL so I'm familiar with that process too. Have jack and jack stands as well.

Make sure you have all parts (new center pin) on hand before you start.

Also, out of curiosity, why the single leaf and not progressive?

Right now just because of cost and the fact that I’m not going to be doing a bunch of off-roading. Might decide to change to progressive later.

This is an awesome thread. I'm in Seattle, new to me 2012. Used to mess with bikes and a 4runner I sold a few years ago. Needing to do a bit of maintenance on the new rig but been feeling daunted because my garage got broken into awhile ago and my tools all gone through. Hard to even know what I have and where it is right now. Will def chime in and offer a hand when I can to anyone around. Down to learn!

    Hello PNW,

Just added another tool to the library. An induction heater for getting rusted and seized nuts and bolts broken free. Picked this up from a fellow TW member. Check out the video. If it works half as good as it does in the Youtube videos that I've seen, I'll be stoked.

Thanks for this thread OP! Does anyone have the ECGS removal/install tools near Portland? I'm over by PDX but will gladly come drive to pick it up and drop it off if someone has nearby. Maybe @Nixinus?

Also looking for the ecgs removal tool. I’m in Bend but I’m in Portland often. Would love to borrow!

If y'all can't find anyone down there with a tool, I can mail you mine. Just cover the shipping and send it back when you're done.

@White lightning boosted - You can borrow mine if the gents in OR don't need it.
