Update; brought to dealer for inspection, and they checked pinion angle, and ordered springs. Going to take a few weeks to receive, and I'll provide feedback once replaced.

That’s good to hear. Was this a one shot deal at the dealership? I have my 10k service coming up next week and would like to mention it then. Did you show them the TSB? Thanks

Update for me. Last year the dealer test drove my truck and was able to duplicate the vibe. At the time the TSB did not apply to 2022s. They stated they also drove several other "like trucks" and they all vibrated.

Fast forward to today, I knew the TSB now covers 2022s. I took it to the dealer assuming getting the fix would be no problem. They drove the truck and "could not duplicate the issue". I disputed this with the manager and also had a tech ride with me. They stated again that they all do it. When they called whomever they call at corporate, they would not approve the fix unless the vibe was "severe". Mine is very slight I'd say but it's still there an no new truck should vibrate. They again told me it's "normal", which of course I don't agree with. They said I could open a case with corporate. These people are such idiots. I'll just buy a 1/2 degree or 1 degree shim and install it myself in 2 hours and see how that does. That has to be the main part of the TSB fix that has any shot at improving this. My other option is to add about 250 lbs to the bed but I have no interest in a camper shell or anything like that. My vibe goes away when there's that much weight back there.

Side note, I had a rental 2023 Limited 2WD for 4 days and it had the 30-10 MPH vibe about the same as my personal 2022 SR 4X4. The Limited also had a rougher ride. All the chrome and fugly wheels too, lordy what a goofy setup that trim level is.

Withholding my rant until fully resoled, however they preformed the TSB, and claimed vibration is corrected but it's exactly the same, no significant change.

One thing I can say about the vibration is that it's not just with braking from 30-10, it's when you coast for a few hundred feet then brake from 30-10. It's more evident with only one person in the truck.

We'll see how things progress I'll be posting more.

    UPDATE:

Now that I have driven it for a few hundred miles I can confidently say that it is really no different overall and its extremely frustrating to have purchased a brand new vehicle and have the type of concerns many are having.

Now suddenly after attempting to remedy it Toyota now uses the word NORMAL for the very same condition and refuses to further diagnose or repair!

I know some here will say it's not a big deal, or get used to it, but thats not OK with me. I'm not good with getting taken advantage of, and thats what it comes down to.

The others I test drove new were not exhibiting vibration issues, and mine didn't do this until it had nearly 10,000 miles, only until it was well broken in did these become prevalent.

Heres a few threads I found of people having the same or similar vibration issues on 3rd gen. Tacomas and what they're saying about it.

I may repair it, trade it, or Arbitrate. Bottom line is that none are good options, and that is precisely what Toyota is using as leverage to get away with not doing the right thing. By the way, this is only one of a few major problems with a brand new $50k vehicle. We work dam hard for the money we spend, and the price on vehicles is already at an unprecedented premium. How is it that we should expect to deal with major problems and not get them repaired.

I didn't buy a brand new vehicle that behaves like it has 250,000 miles, or needs diagnosis or repair to make it function properly, and I especially didn't buy a brand new vehicle to live with these sorts of symptoms.

There's also a lot of implications made by Tacoma owners on how this and other concerns won't affect the longevity, but there's perhaps equal number of people with catastrophic problems, and even more who are dissatisfied.

If you repaired the braking vibration please post or send me PM to concisy identify what was causing it for you.

Figure this may be worth noting.

I had this issue with vibration, started around the time I got new tires installed AND 5k service including tire rotation.

From what I recall (5k miles ago) the vibration started after the rotation.

Just had 10k service including rotation...now the vibration is gone. Figures. I think I am going to do a wheel-off detail including removing the sticky weights and the adhesive then have them all rebalanced at Toyota as opposed to the tire shop i got the tires from. Hoping its just poor balancing and not somehow the pair of wheels is fudged up/machined wrong leading to the vibration when that set is on the front, as opposed to (now) being on the rear.

Not sure if this may be your problem. Worth a shot. I say removing the weights and residue yourself because you can do it properly as opposed to a shop using a screwdriver and ham-fisting the wheels.

It's strange that later tacoma's have this issue. I've had a few different people ride with me in my 2020 sr5 since owned, all have commented how well the truck runs for a 4wd. Not a lick of vibration at any point. I wonder what toyota has done differently since then.

I suppose it's possible if yours repeated as I describe. Im around 10K miles. There is a slight resonance around 65mph, and above 80. I did mention it to the tech, but I didn't push for the rebalance because of how slight it is, and how the low speed issue only comes on with deceleration when braking, not coasting through that same range. Defiantly not warped rotors, I can brake at times where it wont vibrate.

Yeah, somethings really off in this truck. Self analyzing, I don't think I'm being fussy about the issue. This thing vibrates on acceleration, but these vibs all seem slight and presenting different resonance at different speeds which seems like it's resulting from various components. Overall I'm seriously let down by the sense of value in the truck, and I would not buy another one. I recently drove a new Rav4 and we have a 21 Corolla as well and both 25K cars drive like completely refined vehicles. Both have smoother power, better shifting, more torque, ZERO vibration, almost double the fuel mileage. Stunning to me how a 50K vehicle behaves like a 200K beater.

I too have no vibration under braking, and being that the vibration is gone it is very likely either 1) poor balancing 2) warped/poorly machined wheels that are now on the back axle. Somewhat of a relief, but still annoying. No vibrations at all before i upgraded to BFG KO2 at approx 2500 miles BTW.

Being a trd like buddy of mine had, this might just be a characteristic of that trim. Another words...normal. It was one of the things that frustrated a buddy of mine till the point enough was enough, and he bought a new frontier which he loves.

My 2023 Off-Road has it intermittently. Literally seems like it depends on the weather lol. It bothered me at first but I’ve gotten used to it, and after driving a Ford Expedition rental for a week, I have zero complaints about my truck anymore…

Finally took mine in. Of course they said they didn't feel it and asked me to drive with the mechanic which I did. And with me in the truck pointing it out to him, he said he didn't feel it. He said he couldn't feel it in the seat so there wasn't an issue. We ended up taking a brand new 23' to compare and it didn't have it. he said they felt the same. I complained to the head service manager and he said they would open a case with Toyota. Haven't heard back yet. I hate this stealership.
