Sounds like you are getting good support so far.

 

It may not be a state required law that confidentiality clause. But I know of a few people who had their cars lemoned and in the offer to buy back the vehicle, the contract stated that they do not post on any social media forums about the buy back or to convince others to lemon their vehicles or they could terminate the agreement. So you likely won't hear from anyone who had their cars lemoned.

 

Perhaps after the deal is closed.

 

Not if you want to keep the corporate lawyers off your ass you won't go bragging on sites saying you successfully got a buy back. Haha

People who lemon law their truck are probably not here to take the Poll. I know of at least ONE individual who lemoned theirs and is no longer on TW. Take that into consideration. Also I'd look at Carcomplaints.com and see all of the comparisons between years of the Tacoma (2016 is BY FAR the worst) and then compare against the Colorado--2016 Tacoma still "taking the honors" there as well.

 

Toyota customer service has not taken care of me at all and I have several ongoing problems with my 2017

I believe there was a member from Ohio who talked about the fact that his truck was "lemon lawed" and he could not post about it but did anyway- think he was perma-banned

Any motor vehicle manufacturer would want to keep information like this out of the public, that is why they will try and make confidentiality a condition of receiving a payout.

If someone did agree to this condition and then posted anyway, they are suspect, imo.

 

Well I know the individual personally so you can believe what you want. Yes they signed an agreement to keep it quiet and I saw copies of the official correspondence. Keep chugging your kool aid, it's you're prerogative.

Yeah, she was the first I remember on TW with a legitimate gripe against the 3rd gen.

Handled it correctly imo, and hope she is happy with her new ride.
