First off, there are other threads to elaborate on your feelings about how the TSB worked for you, your impression of changes its made in shifting around town, etc..., please post those thoughts in the other threads. People should not expect any changes in the AT behavior beyond what the TSB states it will address and any perceived changes in behavior other than what is stated in the TSB is likely related to the resetting of the AI ("learning") function of the transmission which can be similarly reset by disconnecting the battery for some period of time or the perceived changes are some side affect of the TSB but not defined by or implied by Toyota as part of the TSB. The 3 items listed on the TSB are not related to the AI function and should not change once the AI adaption period is complete.

This poll is only intended to gauge the success of the TSB on the only 3 items it was intended to address.

-delayed park to drive or reverse to drive engagement
    -harsh 1st to 2nd shifting
-delayed upshift when using cruise control (i.e. hanging 4th gear after cresting a hill)

Please wait to vote until you have had enough time driving your truck post-TSB to be sure of your feelings. If you don't have a feeling about a particular issue please don't vote either option.

Hopefully the results will leave little need for further discussion and people who have major concern about these issues will have a spot where they can quickly see the effects of the TSB without wading through pages of opinions.

It took care of 2 of the 3.
I haven't tried cruise, before or after the TSB, so I can't comment on that.

    1. No more delay
    2. Harsh shifting appears to be alleviated
    3. Haven't used cruise since the TSB.

I had a chance to drive it more today and the R to D delay is gone and the cruise control now acts as it should and the shift points are a little different. However that 2-3 / 3-4 flair after setting for awhile I had is still there, it only does it once then it's fine.

The truck is much more enjoyable to drive. Love the way it shifts and performs on the freeway now! Not as sluggish it now feels like a v6. All issues were resolved that were present before the tsb fix. Gas mileage seems to be very close but is too early to tell. I have about 100 miles on it after the flash both highway and around town. Glad I don't have to take a bath on trade in. Very happy now but pissed it took so long to get it resolved. I've had truck since last November 10500 miles on it.

I've put 3k on my '16 so far, scheduled this service at the dealer Thursday AM. Will report back.

Fingers crossed Cruise Control uphill doesn't blow anymore.

Just picked up my truck this morning, shifts like a dream (or what I can consider a dream). Actually revs past 3 grand with minimal slippage. Cruise doesn't gear hunt any more. It actually uses the torque the truck has in 5th and 6th. The damn thing hunted for gears more than my mothers 9 speed Cherokee Trailhawk before the update.

OK so I have only about 120 miles on it now since picking up last night and I'll caveat my review here by first saying this is a LEARNING / ADAPTIVE transmission or so we are told, and thus the positive effects of the TSB Trans Update may be overridden with time and mileage or they could be reinforced and potentially even improved upon. It is hard to say with any certainty at this point how much of the improvements will stick long term, or if they are solely attributed to the Software change or just because the learning mode was reset/cleared during the Update process.

That all being said I find that the truck is shifting smoother. It holds gears longer and coasts in gear longer without the erratic and abrupt downshifts. I find that it tends to want to go into 6th gear on the freeway and stay there, yes even improved with Cruise Control on... no NOT perfect and I think cruise control still seems to make the truck want to get a little more shift happy than we would prefer BUT it is a noticeable improvement so far. Will it stick? As I said above, we don't know for sure but I am hopeful and the TSB update seems promising. The truck does shift better and smoother and the transmission performs better on the highway. Like I said, to me it is an improvement and I am/was pretty skeptical going into it. It really has seemed to help the "Dead Pedal" feeling around the neighborhood and driving around the city.

    That is my $.02

I'll post what I posted in the "Deleted" thread since I'm not sure how much longer it will be here....

No ill effects yet from the flash yesterday, have about 75 miles on the truck so it's learning how to drive again. Pleasant surpise this morning was my daily 20 mile commute was up 2 mpg today with the usual traffic (22.7). Since the update, the acceleration seems to be more linear when feathering the throttle in D mode, very similar to S4 / S5 mode before the flash.

Will continue to monitor so no real judgment yet but am pleased with initial performance so far.

A bit off topic. However, do your stickers only have 2 codes on it? My service representative had gone home when I picked up the truck the only thing I was left with was a sticker and the keys. I want to make sure all tasks were performed. I know there were 3 issues but only have 2 codes on the sticker. Anyone else have a picture of their sticker? Does it look similar to this?

I didn't even get the sticker but can promise you my trans was updated. It's one software update not 3 separate ones.
