I was browsing the Pop and Lock website and stumbled upon this. One of the major reasons I went with a Sport package over the Offroad package was the additional body colored features (mirrors and door handles). Vain, I know. I don't plan to offroad much, if at all, so it made sense to me. Anyway, I was in the market for the 5300 so going with the 5303 that was white made more sense. I purchased from truckalterations.com. Even though it wasn't on their website, they had just gotten them in so I ordered over the phone and received it in about two days.

I did the install this past weekend. After opening I was a bit disappointed with the build quality. I've never seen the 5300 so I can't compare it to that. The edges seemed a lot sharper than the stock and the paint seemed dull. Maybe it needed a second spray of clear coat. I posted pictures of it next to the body and the 5303 color seems a bit brighter. Also, the paint wasn't as smooth as some of the body panels. Maybe this is normal since they're just painting over plastic, but I was hoping for a more factory look. Also, the entire unit doesn't seem to sit as flush as factory and sits a bit high so there's a very small gap at the base between the 5303 and the cutout for the unit. I realize its aftermarket so maybe my expectations are too high. Again, I've never seen the 5300 in person so maybe its just the painted versions sit like this.

From far away it looks fine but the closer you get the more you can see the imperfections in the paint (dimples in the unit). You also notice the color variation the closer you get.

If I had to do it over, I think I would have just gone with the 5300 rather than the color matched. I emailed Pop and Lock with my opinions but have not heard back. This is in no way a reflection on truckalterations.com, they are great.
