just got this in the mail an hour ago and im gonna install it after work but this is the full pop and lock tailgate handle that includes a camera and everything you need, ivee seen some good reviews on it and theres a few demonstration videos on youtube. ill try and post pictures after i install it later but pretty good price for what you get and theres options to seperate keys for the lock or to map it to ur ignition key. this is supposed to be a plug and play option for my 2006!

I'm curious if you did this and how well it worked. I'm considering upgrading my camera but I'm not convinced it is worth the trouble. I already have a camera in my 2011 that is connected to the rear-view and I can either keep that as-is or convert that cabling to RCA and connect to my TBD new head unit.

Four years later...the camera from Master Tailgaters and the P&L handle are both still working flawlessly in my '05. :notsure:

Hey y'all - I'm embarking on a similar project. I have the P&L locking tailgate handle and looking to add a camera (the handle has a blank for it).

Before I drop $174 on the Camera Source option... those of you with the Master Tailgaters camera mounted in the P&L handle - which camera exactly?

I'm wondering if I can save $100 by ordering the handle and taking the camera out of the non-locking Master Tailgaters and putting it in my P&L

I went with the last option. I bought the MasterTailgaters non-locking handle and use their cam in the P&L handle. Fit and perform good.

Thank you both! I'm planning to do the same. Did y'all have to drill out the drain hole on the tailgate to fit the connector through? (some Amazon reviews are saying that)

Yes, I had to enlarge one of the drain holes in the tailgate.

    Just some stuff...
Anybody know where I can find a replacement camera for the pop n lock tailgate handle that has the camera installed? Some kind of rodent chewed through the wiring for the camera. Not willing to pay more for the camera alone than I did for the entire handle in the first place.
