    I did this also when I installed my pace edwards locks. But i used a piece of mule tape . Its a great idea i hope I never have to use it

    Mine has been sitting there since I installed it, unused. Hopefully it will remain that way. Of course my tonneau cover is thin vinyl so it would not take much effort to get into the bed of the truck if someone wanted to. Like a lock on most doors, the locking tailgate only keeps out honest people. Those intent on getting past a lock will just break whatever else they need to in order to get in.

    Does anyone know if the wiring is different for access cabs? I poked into the wiring on mine and saw the blue black but not blue red wire

    Thanks! Sounds like I should check the passenger side and the wiring should match up, I looked at the driver side
