If anyone is waiting for the new Pop N Lock pl8525, I have bad news. I spoke to the company on July 6, 2010 and they said it likely won't be released.

pl8525 was supposed to be power lock with keyed handle to fit vehicle with or without camera.

Pop N Lock said maybe try in 6 weeks, but not looking good.

I spoke to Pop and Lock today 3/23/2011 and their spring release of the PL8525 has been pushed to late summer as the engineers are still working on it.

So will they definitely be coming out with the PL8525 then? I was thinking of a Dynolock, but would love the key option (just in case the actuator went) and the PL8525 would really fit the bill nicely. I just would rather not wait all summer to find out that it was not going to be released after all.

If they are still working on the design I would think that it is not definite. I have not contacted them for an update since March.

I have the power Pop-n-lock. I have never been in a situation where I wanted a way to open it with a key. If I want it unlocked, just hit the unlock button. (I wired it to the passenger door lock, so I have to hit it twice to unlock)

Do you know how the power Pop-N-Lock compares with the Dynolock?

If you don't have the key option, what would you do if the actuator failed in the locked position?
