Once production is confirmed I'll be interested. Not even going to mess around with pop 'n break until I can make it right prior to install.

I did a DIY reinforcement. I found the PNL handle is made of ABS, by putting a dot of ABS cement on the handle. If your handle is made of ABS it will melt into the handle. ABS pipe cement can be found at Home Depot or Lowes. I used "Oatey" medium black ABS cement; its what I had from a prior project. Remove the PNL handle and add a few layers of cement and fiber glass cloth to the base of the pin which is the weak point of the mechanism. Alternate layers and give the solvent time to evaporate. Reinstall.

Sorry everyone been super busy. I've been trying to get someone to make these for me and I can't get a solid person to do it. I've updated the design just finding someone to do it and keep cost down is hard. I have the stuff sitting on my desk, name list and all.

Sorry for not updating but I just have a million things going on right now.

Honestly I'm not certain yet as it's due to arrive this Sunday. I'm a total noob to owning a truck this is my very first.
    .
I just ordered a pop n lock. Should be here in a few days. I am interested. I will have a Tonneau cover on and I want the security.
    Thank you.

Its an interesting idea. I have not purchased a P&L yet due to the issues mentioned. I had considered just getting the mechanism to auto lock my OEM with the clicker.

The idea that is being proposed is for the P&L that uses a key correct?

Currently my solution is pretty low tech with my tonneau:

I thought all pop and locks had keys? either way it to reinforce the handle so it wont break at the point where the handle touches the lever

I just installed my Pop&Lock yesterday. I thought it would be of better quality being made in the USA. Not impressed with this product. It feels cheap. Maybe I’m wrong but it sure feels damn cheap. Like the interior of an ‘82 Camaro. Lol
