It looks like that TSB wouldn't apply to 09's though? (I assume you're talking about nv007-05?)

I took the truck to another mechanic / I then called the dealer saying what they found and asked when could I drop Tue truck off for warranty work. BUT they did me a huge favor by working on my (by Toyota) highly altered truck. This first dealer didn't even want it on the lot

kinda sounds like my popping, groaning and squeeking Uniballs when they are dry. Might work might not, but try lubing the uniballs with DuPont Teflon lube. My uniballs makes some funky noise when they are dry or dirty.

Ended up taking it in because it got past my shade tree skills and also sounded way worse today.

Apparently a "piece of the suspension" was "bent" and knocking against the frame when the steering was in certain positions. The guy who called me said I could talk to the tech, because he didn't remember what part it was. I'm just hoping it's all fixed now :D

The guy on the phone seemed really nice, he just said the part name slipped his mind completely. I'll try to find out from the tech when I pick it up in a couple of hours, I'm working right now.

Well, the noise is better but still not gone. I think they correctly diagnosed it though AND they didn't charge me, when the problem was clearly my own doing and I deserved to be charged.

The issue had nothing to do with my suspension. I was in a fender bender a few months ago and it pushed in my avid offroad bar slightly. The gusset on the bar into which the mounting holes are drilled on the damaged side was tapping the frame when it flexed.

They pried it back out as best they could, and the noise is much better! I think to fix it fully, I just need to use a come-along and actually pull the bar out to where it was.

If anyone needs a stealer for service, I recommend Bill Penney in Huntsville; they went above and beyond with this.
