It's the same for all the 2009+ If you find PL5300 you've got the right thing, backup camera or not.

But the bad news is they're on factory backorder, so you probably won't be able to get one for the next few weeks at least.

Thanks for the info! However, I went to that site selected year 2009 and didn't see Toyota anywhere.

Buy it from truck alterations, once they come back into stock. Best price and a sponsor of this site.

In case anyone is interested the bolts in the tailgate take a torx #30 bit. Didn't see this anywhere in this thread yet or any of the others about pop n lock I searched through. Maybe I missed it. Seems like you can make a regular screwdriver work, but for somewhere between $0.99 and $1.99 you can buy #30 at your hardware stire, plug it into a drill, and speed things up and lessen the chance of striping out one of the bolts.

Appreciate this thread and all the detailed pics. I always like having these kind of detailed instructions. Looks like the key here is to avoid breaking the clips that hold the tie rods. Thanks.

Great tutorial - thanks for putting it together. Easy install and the PL5300 seems flawless and well made - quite pleased. I have a #30 torx and found the when putting the bolts back, using an appropriately sized regular screwdriver for the final turn will definitely lessen the chances of stripping the plastic that the bolts thread into.

Install was easy following these instructions. I thought that the gasket off the OEM fit a little funny on the Pop & Lock. But was able to stretch it on. No other issues. Thank you!

Be sure to check the lock from time to time as it may need a bit of lithium grease to keep it working properly. You will know when its time by pulling on the tail gate latch and it doesn't make clean contact.
