Portnoy permanent for A7X?

As some of you might know, Jimmy Sullivan of Avenged Sevenfold died close to a year ago. They teamed up with Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater to finish up a record that was started with Jimmy but couldn't be finished because of his death. after the album was done, mike toured with the band to promote it. it was agreed that when the touring was done, mike would go back to DT and they would continue with what they are.

i was looking up some tabs today on ultimate-guitar.com and come across an interview with DT's lead singer and he said that Portnoy had left the band. They didn't say if he was going to join up with A7X for good. has anyone else heard anything?

 

Portnoy wante DT to go on an extended hitus, said he needed a break. The other guys refused, so he left the band. At first he gave his blessing for them to continue without hm, but now he is crying and saying that he can't believe they would even consider.

the short verson: He's a self-centered, whiney little b*tch, who wanted to go do side jobs but expected the rest of the band to sit at home and twidle heir thumbs until he was ready to do DT again.
