Set the lights back into the grille an inch, finished fitting up the grille, and got a good start on my winch bumper.

Got 5 37x12.5-17” Goodyear wrangler MT/R’s, all at 20/32, new being 21/32, for $1300. Up here, in Alberta, these go at about $550-600 each, so I’m pretty stoked!

Got a good start on the bumper this weekend. I’ll finish tacking it up tonight, then weld it out and get it in for powder coat this week.

This thread reminds me of building race cars back in the day. Get a beater, strip it down to the frame and build what you want. Great way to spend a long winter.

Damn Mike, you move quick! At this rate, you'll have the truck running before I can even get a test drive in after my incident

I was hoping to get it out this weekend, just for a daytrip, but decided to continue on the bumper instead. I want to get it finished!!

This is the second winter in a row I've torn this thing down! Hoping to just wheel next winter!

Got my methods. I hate black wheels. Like, hate. For now, pint will suffice, next winter, I’ll likely pull them apart, and powder coat them white.

That's funny. Pretty much polar opposite of popular opinion. I myself like black wheels over shiny. I think the white will look good with the red truck though. Are you going to stay with the darker red on the truck or are you going to change the color?

    Black is,

    1) overdone,
    2) they don't show up in pictures worth a fart in a windstorm!

Just my opinion, but yea, I detest black. As for paint, It's all going to the original colour. If I change, i'd paint the truck speedway blue. I've always loved that colour!

I like that speedway blue too. I'm changing mine to tan. Right now the truck is red, green, white, and black.

Welding and painting. Hoping to get to the point of pulling the box this weekend to pull the sides off it.

Bumpers ready for some grinding and sanding, then off to powder coat.
