The trail did claim one tire, unfortunately.

What sucks is the damage is irreparable. There’s a slice right above the beadlock ring. So I ordered a new one. The only thing available within a couple days is a geolandar X-MT. It’ll be my spare. They’re on my list of to be tried. What I’ll probably do is run the Goodyear’s this season, and sell them when I swap the fattys back on for snow season, then get a full set of the X-MT’s.

Couple things left to do. Build bumper. Get duals in. But all in all, I’m happy with it. Now to get the 82 home, and start on that.

Great build. How has that POR15 held up on the frame?

Thanks!!! It’s held up really well, other than where I’ve dragged the frame across rocks and such!

I’m not a big RTT guy. I’ve been looking for a swag for a while, finally found someone local who imports Darche, from oz-land. Think I’m gonna be happy with this.

I've been thinking of making a foldable platform mounted to a bed cage for a small tent. Then you have a lightweight RTT so to speak which is probably nice if you have a few wet days / nights in a row.

I would have to say somewhere around there or a little bit shorter. I'll have to measure it next time I open it up. I really want to get a Crashpad swag eventually :spending:

I have an awning that gets mounted up come wheeling season, so at least I can use it if it’s looking like it’s gonna be a moist night

Ruined 37” pulled off the beadlock, brand new replacement installed. $570 Canadian for that. Dammit.

Donor transmission and transfer case split. By Tuesday night, this should be ready to install. Driveshafts should be ready by Thursday evening.

Still poking away at the trans drop and swap. And, got lucky!! I found a full TRD exhaust from a wrecked cali truck my buddy bought, and had imported to Alberta for his 1992 3.4 swap. Truck was in a wreck, had everything TRD possible, and he got it for a good price. He then figured out it would be too much work to make the exhaust and headers work, so sold them to me. While my trans is out, I'm going to get these in.
