This is the redline mine. The last picture is a shot of the access to it. It goes in several hundred yards, and is quite cool to check out. I’m not a huge fan of old mine works. The trail continues up beyond this mine, to several more higher up. However, we planned to make a different mine and area for the night, so we headed back down from here. Half the group peeled out and headed for home once we hit the main road.

Facing the mine entrance, and looking back at where the trucks are parked. Sure makes a guy feel small, and wonder how they made a living up here decades ago mining. Love this country.

I cannot live without one! The winter weather here precludes working outside on a vehicle, and I need the space for my welding projects too.

I’ll be pulling the remainder of the pan tonight. Then pull the motor, then use this frame to fit up my aluminum skid plates. Once that’s done, I’ll strip the rest of the running gear, leaving the gas tank, fuel lines, and brake lines in place. In a couple months, it’ll come back in, and I’ll swap the 98 cab, box and running gear onto this frame. We are also using the rockers, and some of the box to patch my buddy’s 95.5 Tacoma, as she’s rotting fast. And lastly, the harness, motor, and such will be used in a 2nd gen Xtracab pickup at some point, an 84/85, so I get a solid front axle, and the classic back to the future look.

In the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie, the main human character drives a 2016 DCSB TRD OR, which ends up getting almost completely destroyed before the end of the movie; Among other things, the roof gets sliced off by Dr. Robotnik's laser and the truck ends up looking a lot like yours does in this picture! :laser:

Pan is off, and stashed. We will be using it and the box to patch up my buddy’s 95.5 cancer victim taco

At some point, I smashed the gas tank enough to move the bastard back a few inches, and stashed a stick in there for future fires!

    Thanks!!

She's gonna likely get beat to death again, but now that I have time, she's going to get proper protection. There's a set of sliders going on, and a full set of aluminum skids to go on too.

Front end nearly out. I’m pulling everything as if I have a cab on still, just to make sure I know what I need to do and minimize down time when the double cab comes in. Should have it nearly ripped down tonight. Then I’ll fit up the skid plates while I have easy access.

Should catch up on the trips here too. We got out of the mine valley, hit the mainline, and headed north about 35-40km. Hit the lead queen fsr for the next amd last night of the trip. This creek crossing is just past one of the most amazing trappers cabins I’ve seen. And the view. Man. Worth millions.

This is at around 8500’. There’s mine works here, a cabin floor, and a porcupine chewed outhouse here, where we camped.

There’s a few more switchbacks that take you higher, but the trail leads to nowhere, and has seen better days.
