And last night, I finished cleaning and prepping the frame, and got almost all of it coated with POR15. And I ran out at 10:30. :annoyed: I was ready for bed anyways!:D

With welding all done, I got the frame cleaned, prepped and painted with POR15. And ran out with just a couple spots left to do.

I pulled the double cab outta the garage, to stage it next to its future skeleton. I removed the rear axle, and installed my rear springs, with a set of OME greasable shackles. I re-installed the rear park brake cable as well. Bit by bit, she’s getting there.

Tonight’s plan, cut and plate the front body mount. I can get an extra inch clearance here.

:canada:This. This is why I need all the clearance I can get!! :D These, and the desire to run 37” tires for snow wheeling season, while staying as low as I can.

Might need even more room with those monsters, great progress.

My COVID19 projects are luckily 90% funded, the drawback is my seasonal gig is basically a no go mostly domestically, and of course with the border closure. So the wallet is on a serious diet, so the diesel gets it’s sport headlight upgrade as well as the initial routing of some 00 awg welding cables aft for trailer winch set up(future) as well as trying get the regear on the Taco finished- the hold up is the diffs are hostage over in Montana..

keep it going everything is looking good, nice job.

I’m gonna have to cut so much:rofl: I know Pat, aka @snotaco did a 2” body lift, to fit his 37”. I might have to go that route!

Slider fit up, holes marked, and drilled. Today, I’ll cut my 1/2” pipe to length, and weld all the bungs in. 12 1/2” bolts per slider.

And my proportioning valve and rear return brake line are now deleted. I snagged the passenger side dual port fitting from the bad frame, cut out the 3 way fitting that the return line goes to, and welded the 2 way in.

I’m glad I took the extra few hours to drill and weld in the 1/2” pipe. I want to make some changes to the sliders, and powder coat them next winter, this makes it easy to do.

The Krawlers in for a quick check. Of course, there’s no weight, but there’s a shit ton of clearance. I’m gonna have to hog out that firewall something fierce!

Had to run a 1/2” drill bit their the bungs, to make sure everything was good for the slider bolts. All ready to go now. Pulled the sliders off, and slapped some POR15 on it all.

Just waiting on some parts and pieces. Then it’s time to slide this frame under the double cab. Cannot wait!!

Originally found your rig on instagram, very impressed with it:hattip:. Looking forward to see it all put together, especially sitting on those krawlers! excited to see how the logger bed turns out too. i love the lines and looks of the stock taco, but that bed will look sick on the truck! are you going to keep it black or try'n paint it red like the rest of the truck?

    my vote goes to black:D:thumbsup:

Everyone rocking one wears black, so my plan is to colour match it, and see how it turns out. eventually I want to paint this thing a disturbingly bright orange. So this will help determine how much is too much! lol
