Just got my new XD Hole Shot wheels wrapped in some 285/70/17s. So far awesome ride but I haven't had a chance to wheel em as I need to fix some rubbing issues first

I really like the tread pattern on the ridge grapplers, I wish the sidewall had more of an aggressive look. Hows the road noise on these things?

I used the other side and I think it looks more aggressive than the side that most people use. It looks closer to the more aggressive trail grapplers.

The road noise seems just as quiet compared to stock amazingly. I did just come from BFG KM2s which were super loud but I can't hear any humming from the tires at all.

Uh huh, that's why tire reviews are taken with a handful of salt they are always reviewed with rose colored glasses on... I guess they get better mpg and handle better than stock as well to huh?

It's super aggressive for an all terrain! Much more and you'd likely have to jump into full mud terrain. I would scoop but they don't make 16" anymore :pout:

Nice looking truck. Factory suspension? I recently picked up my access cab TRD sport and I’m looking around to find a wheel/tire setup that would fit without having to lift the truck. What are the specs on your setup?

Why would I have the need to bullshit about tires? Have you even driven a truck with these tires on? I also have c-range tires instead of E, which would help in the ride department as well. I turned off the radio and there's no hum that you get from MTs. Some people said the stock tires were noisy, these IMO make no more noise than stock tires if you consider those noisy.

The KM2s I had on before were really noisy, rode like crap and sucked in the rain. They were amazing off road, but were terrible on the road. I do 90% street driving and go wheeling every once in a while; an aggressive/hybrid AT was a much better fit than a true MT for me.

I run these tires along with a bunch of other guys here in Oregon. Overall, everyone is very happy with it and some even said it’s better than KO2’s. I like mine because it’s aggressive yet super quiet. We’ll see how it performs this winter.

The treads/blocks seem to be more aggressive than the KO2s; also heard good things about them in the snow. What size did you get? I need to fix my rubbing near full lock before I go wheeling with them first.

Same as you 285/70/17. I have 888 coils on OME nitro chargers so I barely rubbed. I’ve recently upgraded my UCA’s so the additional caster helped eliminate rubbing. Oh and I ended up doing a CMC to help when wheeling (full tuck).

I'm on Icons with UCAs as well with about +2.8 caster. Think I need to have them pushed forward some more...prob do CMC to make sure they don't rub when stuffed either. Hows Tillamook out there for wheeling? Used to have a beach house about 20 minutes west of tillamook but didn't have my tacoma then.
