Potential Tacoma Purchase

I’m looking to purchase a new to me Tacoma here soon and wanted to get everyone’s take on the deal...

2005 SR5 4X4
187,000 miles
Price 8999

Frame looks great and motor looks really dry. Has some cosmetic scratches on the outside but interior looks great. A little rust starting to ford under the body but not a lot. Looking to build this into an over land build. Had one minor accident in carfax report. Link to the dealer site below. Is this a good deal or no?

Heres my advice to you..

Create an account on toyotaowners.com and add the vin# in there. You should then be able to see a list of maintenance records of work done at toyota dealerships.

I would also check near the front of the frame where the catalytic converters are for any holes that may have rusted through. This is where it most often occurs

Thanks guys. Anything that I need to be on the lookout for with the miles it has on it? Like I said looking for an overland rig so just want to make sure its a good purchase. Seems cheaper than most other Tacoma’s out there and has me a little scared.
