Please PM me a quote and possible PayPal info for a side rail, tailgate cap set shipped to 76087. If I do it, I want to do both. One question, think I know the answer. The tailgate cap replaces the plastic. Does the side rail replace or cover the plastic?

    Thanks,

The side rail also replaces the plastic. Steel is real.

I just picked up a giant batch of these from the powder coat guy. Get 'em while they're hot.

This won't be an issue going forward. My new powder coat guy makes a bulletproof finish.

I think someone else might have mentioned this, but just use a cotton swap to dab the area - it will blend in better than spraying directly.

The best part about this, is that I could have gotten my plastic cap replaced under warranty, but because I decided to make my own, it turned into a great product.

How is the powder coat holding up? I load my bikes every weekend and the ramp isn't kind to the plastic cap. Will the coating take the beating?

The new coating is as tough as I've ever seen powder coat. He uses a slightly different process, but I don't want to say what it is here for competitive reasons.

I was loading my brothers moped into the back of my Tacoma one day and it bottomed out and took a chunk out of the stock protector and the actual tailgate as well. Worried my bed will start rotting there. Will make temporary fixes but would like a quote. From the dealership I believe they charge $175 for the stock part. I found the stock protector on parts geek for I believe $85 but the shipping is $129   ...yea I don't think so. So I hope you can save me some money and provide me more protection. I'll PM ya..

Looked again at the hole. Damage to the actual tailgate is not as much as I remembered it. Just a scrape. Still will find a way to fix it. And KB's product will have it lookin even better.
