Up-date... I made a statement yesterday reguarding, I had hoped the Black Steel Cap would not
"Burn the crap out of my hand after sitting in the sun for 30 minutes"

I am pleased to report the Steel KB Voodoo Tailgate Cap is cooler to touch than the
    Stock plastic side caps.

    WINNING!!

I received my cap yesterday. It was a lot more stout than I had thought it would be. Anxious to swap it out!

Place the outside piece of foam weatherstrip all the way to the top of the tailgate,
As high as you can get it.

I've had mine for almost 1 year and it is still one of my favorite upgrades on my truck. My father-in-law was super surprised how stout it made my tailgate feel. Also, my sister-in-law tried to close my tailgate the other day and she struggled with it. It gave me a good laugh and then I was a gentleman and helped her. I love my KB Voodoo cap.

No complaints with the product. I did about the same- he charged me $20 for a gasket I could've just got at lowes for $5... I didn't know where to buy it originally, and saw it a day or so after. My mistake. Not knocking his product or prices, just pointing out where to buy replacement if you ever need it so you don't end up overpaying

Did I really charge you $20 for gasket? Maybe it was mostly shipping, or maybe it was a while ago before I became the customer service guru.

    Sorry about that...

I will when I get it on. I just started my 7day hitch right after I got it. I may bring it with me on shift and put it on. Just depends how busy I get.

Installed. Love it. Pics coming soon

In regards to my softopper back flap I went ahead and used super magnets. Seems like it is working well. To be honest I did not have the heart to drill, tap, and install snaps as I am sure I would have jacked up such a clean looking cap.
