    More than I can afford
    Cool.

Those of us with OCD and black trucks appreciate that.

Something in my camper shell does a great job of hiding water then releasing it hours after I dry my truck.

    Water spots…..Ugh.

We can put a man on the moon, but we still don't have Teflon impregnated paint that sheds dirt and water.....

Thanks for listening to our requests, and I finally see what you're talking about in relation to the tailgate be (very slightly) curved...

Love the idea!! Nice job! I wonder how my Undercover hard tonneau cover will sit on it...

Should be perfect. The inside are top are the same as the stock cover.

People with toppers need not worry either. Even with the large gap version, the gap in the middle of the tailgate is almost nothing, so in theory, their toppers should fit even better with this cap.

Thanks! My only concern is where the hard cover comes down over the lip. I need to go look at how much of a gap there is. With that said, your upcoming small gap version would be good if that is indeed an issue, which I don't think it would be. I like the bigger gap version to be honest.

PM for shipping quote, and yes I do accept Paypal.

I'll post installation instructions before the first units start to ship.

I know, they're probably not going to last long.

19 caps will fit on one 5x10 sheet of steel, but my fabricator messed up two of them.

    They are.

It's important to note, that the gap only exists on the ends (because of the curve in the tailgate).

In the middle, it's pretty tight.

What's the size of the gap? It's tough to tell from the pictures. On my truck, there's just over a half inch gap between the metal part of the tailgate and the inner part of the hard cover overhang lip...

Yikes, my baby needs a wash!!

Sounds like we're in business. The outermost point of metal on the left and right end of the cap stick out 7/16" (0.438") on my prototype.

The production pieces will stick out even less because I had that bend made a couple degrees sharper.

Once people start seeing these in real life, I think the general consensus will be that the gap is no issue at all, and the cap looks great!!

It's really a non-issue. When you see this cap in person, you'll love it.

Once the install instructions are posted, and maybe a few pics of them installed, I'm gonna jump in. Can't wait to see some "real life" pics of the production run!!

Took the mountain bike up in the woods today.

Zero deflection of the cap. I'm pretty sure you could put a Harley on this thing and still get zero deflection.
