So in preparation of taking delivery of my new 2010 DC SB Black Sand Pearl TRD Sport, my dealer is going to be powder coating the stock rims for me (can't afford new rims right now saving for the lift).

I want the rims powder coated Black, my question is what type of Black to use? Matt or Gloss finish? What has everyone else done so far?

    Thanks in advance!

Not a big fan of black rims, but if they are going to do it cheap, then let them at it. Go gloss

I would go gloss if you have painted trim. If you have the black trim and fender skirts then I would go flat black to match these items.

I think matte black would look sick.

Matte black PC.....matches the black centers perfectly.

I'd go matte... seems to me gloss would be difficult to keep glossy.

If you wheel go matte, otherwise it's just personal choice. matte would be easier to touch up with a rattle can and hide flaws easier.

actually there are 3x types of black....matte,satin, and than gloss. Satin being a good middle ground. Either go matte or satin. Don't do gloss. Gloss black does not really go well on trucks.

Matte black just looks like brake dust to me.
