I recently installed a BlackVue DR590W-1CH in my Taco hardwired to a Power Magic Pro (PMP from here on out) power management box. When I say hardwired, I mean I disassembled the plug unit from the camera as well as the female plug unit from the PMP and soldered them together. Works fantastic.

I do have a concern though. Right now the PMP is switched to Park Mode Off. The PMP is wire tied back behind the dash and not accessible unless I remove the lower driver side kick panel. While it probably won't be very often that I need to turn the parking mode on, I would like unfettered access to the switch. My question to the braintrust is this:

Has anyone disassembled the PMP and wired the switch to the dash?

    Thanks in advance!

If your good at soldering I dont see why you couldn't open the box remove the on/off switch and run solder wire extensions from the board to a switch you install on the dash. Who knows maybe if you open the box there are wires going to the switch you can just splice new wires to. To be clear I wouldn't do it but if you can't find a better place for the PMP to be accessible this would be a alternative.

This is probably what I will end up doing, I just wanted to see if any one had done it yet. Looks like it's a simple single throw switch....
