I have seen several people on here who have gone and tapped into the power inverter for the truck bed outlet and also several people who have taken a power inverter from the store and added wire to it so that the plugs can be relocated.

I was thinking tapping into the power inverter for the bed outlet would be the easiest and safest way to add a power outlet in the cab of my truck and was wondering if anyone has made a write up for this or if someone would be willing to talk me through how they tapped into the inverter under the center console.

Also any input would be appreciated as to whether or not anyone thinks it would be easier/safer to just use a power inverter from a store.

This helps though since I still haven't officially decided which route to take. I saw this specific mod but never found a write-up on here. Thanks

only the TRD's have the power inverter correct? My SR5 doesn't have an un-used inverter sitting un-used by chance.

Guess my searching skills aren't as good as I thought they were. I appreciate all the links so far.
