I believe that is just the cable assembly, not including the motor. A quick parts search shows the same part for about $38 and on the same web page there is an exploded view of the rear window opener parts and it shows what looks like the motor as a separate item. I have not found a part number or price for what looks like the motor.....yet.

Edit: Found the motor at the link below. $250 and change.

Has any tried to mount the motor on the plastic bins? It will fit in there just concerned about binding the cables 32CC1F84-2BDB-4FA8-B2FC-813D1994C1C7.jpg

All installed and it’s working great .I added some felt to the window bracket to take up some of the play and to prevent scratching up the window. I put the switch up in over head console I think it looks stock there. Thanks again kgarrett11

Just a quick question for any one to answer. My buddy has a 2018 tundra with a manual slide window in the back.does anyone know if kgarrett11 bracket will work on a tundra? I showed him my window and wants his to do the same. I looked at the tundra quickly but didn’t measure it but it looks close. Thanks

It doesn’t attach. The bracket fits in the channel alongside the window with very little extra space and the thicker ends provide the purchase to pull the glass each way. There’s an inline hole at each end for the cable and an Allen head set screw to fix the cable ends.

I finally got the rear slider window mod operational. It took awhile as I would get started and something always came up and it would get set aside for a few weeks. There are a number of lengthy threads from many contributors on how to install the mod. I am very thankful to all of them because I would look at pics and reread them over and over as my understanding increased. Anyway here are a few pics of the install process.

I used the installation design that Roland (tacoma2ndgen )posted above. I got a wrecking yard Dodge ram window regulator and the kgarrett bracket. I tip my hat to these guys for making it possible for me to use a sort of kit install approach with these parts. And the pictures posted above me here from tacoma2ndgen were most valuable. The window regulator was bolted to the cab with no bracket required.
    DSCN5445.jpg
wire tagged my leads just because I cant remember from one week to the next.
I might go back and add a few more tywraps just for good measure.
    DSCN5446.jpg
I did not post a pic of the kgarrett bracket or the cable connection as the installation is exactly as tacoma2ndgen posted above my post.

I bought a sienna rear window switch off eBay and installed and wired it as caribe makaira, bwrapped and bwthomas77 stated on other threads. The two relays I mounted on the rear cab wall just because it was easy to do it there. While the surgery was in progress I went ahead and changed some amber light bulbs on other switches that were out.

    DSCN5447.jpg
I wont say how many times I screwed everything up and had to back up and start again but then some of us never had a full load of smarts anyway.

If any of the mods wish to move this post or copy to other threads I am good with it and I hope it will assist someone else

It has been over 2 months now since the sliding rear window mod became operational. That little bracket and a couple of wires took a totally non-usable window and turned into one that is used literally every time I start the truck. I even think most of the time I push the open up button before the seat belt gets a snap.
thanks again to everyone along the way in this thread

I haven't been on Tacomaworld for a while. Wow, this is great! I've been wanting to do this since I boughy my 08. It has been 13 years, and I had given up because it seemed too complcated to source the parts and deal with bicycle cables and brake lines. This thread makes it all so much simpler. Is there a complete parts list from what window regulator motor to use (one with long enough cables) to relays needed to the switch? Thanks. I didn't want to scroll through the whole theead. Is kgarrett11 still selling the bracket? Thanks for all the contributions to this mod.
