The illumination is separate, but you can tap into a nearby illuminated switch for power so not too hard.

If I'm not mistaken it's one of those twist on/off type of minature bulbs. I remember tapping into another switch for it to illuminate.

I believe it was $50 and it may or may not have included shipping. Either way it still could have been $100 and I'd buy it. :D This mod had been on my bucket list for a while.

My bracket came in Saturday. Went ahead and primed it with some stuff on hand.

Waiting on a F150 rear slider motor I got off eBay, and a SPDT toggle switch on the way. Going to go the 2 relay route.

Still waiting on a couple items and need to go pickup 2x 5 pin relays, BUT my F150 rear slider motor came in, and with the included bracket actually mounts up perfectly to 2 of the holes on the back wall, one being the prethreaded hole for the rear large bin. So that's nice.

This is a larger project than I originally anticipated lol, but most of it is sourcing the parts. This motor has some weird ass connector that I'll either replace or source a junker for the male end.

Everyone seems to use whatever motor they come across, but has anyone found any pros or cons using one or the other?

chevy blazer, ford F150, etc, etc?

Which motor is the best/affordable to install? is there a 12" motor that could be plug and play, or do you have to cut the cable for any motor used?

I went F150 because it was already purposed for a rear slider so it has enough length of cable to not have to worry about swapping out with some longer "bike" cable. However, I'm going to have to trim down the longer end.

Not really the cheapest option...cost me like $80 on eBay.

I used a rear power window motor & cable assy from a 2011 Ram. Cables were the right length and had lead ferrules already on them. I used a similar bracket but had holes to accept the ferrules and lock them in place. I'd go out on a limb and guess just about any rear window motor & cable assy would probably work just fine with a little ingenuity.

I got mine a couple weeks ago now, is anyone else's "warped"? I haven't gotten around to install it so not sure if its going to effect operation but I would assume it is supposed to sit flat on the glass. If I set this on a flat table there is about 1/4 inch gap in the middle.
