Are you 100% sure it's your PS pump and not something else under there?

Sierra! Nice! My cousin's father-in-law has a 2007 SLE Z71 model that looks identical to yours and has almost 300K miles on it! He bought it new and travels A LOT for work; Still runs pretty good though he's thinking of putting a new engine in it...

Yes,,I can take the filler cap off when at idle and it really gets loud. The fluid is going in circles,so I'm thinking it's not the pressure ?

I had my high pressure line replaced by Toyota about 2 years ago. It's been loud on cold days ever since, especially when turning the wheel.

It never did that before it was replaced.

It does go away after it's warmed up so I havnt really giving it much concern.

My engine runs louder whenever I turn the wheel, probably because the power steering pump is drawing power...

I put on a "new"/reman power steering pump from NAPA and it has never been as quiet as the OEM pump was.

What did you use for fluid? I am running Valvoline synthetic ATF

Did you jack up the front and turn lock to lock to burp the air out?

On my 03, cleaned res, flushed, valvoline Atf,
Swapped oem reman pump, bled, fluid is moving, no air bubbles...still having that groan. It fluctuates, sometimes less noticeable. Turning wheel causes it up or down in frequency.

Next is an oem rack to see if it is the cause.
We’re talking a hydraulic system here, so my guess- its in there.
It could be a waste of $600 to swap it along with the tie rods, but I have some creaking up front that may be fixed by wasting the money to find out. Rack isn’t noticeably leaking, but it is 17yrs old and 200k

Mine is doing the exact same as yours and i haven't found a solution. Replaced pump, replaced fluid and belt. Still doing it. I did noticed that when i turned it on and it would "scream", if i killed the heater, the noise would stop. Don't know what the correlation is, but something to consider.

I replaced my pump with an aftermarket one (not OEM) and it was noisy from day one. Didn't last a year. Luckily I saved my original OEM pump. I pulled it off the shelf and rebuilt it. All is quiet and good now.

It's pretty easy to rebuild. If you have a v6 get this rebuild kit: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem...ion=vane-pump-reservoir-power-steering,,04446

This thread, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/power-steering-pump-rebuild-how-to-with-photos.377002/ will show you how to do it. That thread is for a 4-cylinder pump, but it will show you enough to get it done if you have a 6. The 6-cylinder pump is actually easier because it doesn't have a bearing.
