My 04 power windows speed is starting to slow down. Does that mean the motor is starting to die?

i have an 03 and am experiencing the same thing. hopefully someone will chime in and let us know the issue. it would be funny that both the motors go bad at the same time.

electric motors don't slow down, they just get hot and eventually short out. you are putting too much load on the motor, that'll slow it down. Dust accumulates in the slides of the winow mechanism. you might have to open up the doors, use some brakkleen or something and clean out the rails that the window opener operates on, then lube with graphite or lithium grease when dry. the whole assembly can be removed as well, to make cleaning and lubing easier.

Nah. When the window is all the way down it sounds like there is no padding or its lose in the door. IDK if i have to tighten anything or add something.

ya, you might need to replace the teflon bushings on the slides. I'd just pop the door apart and wiggle it to see whats up.
