Get them to pay for it. It has nothing to do with the job. Get the cash, get it fixed, and move on.

Same. I have lots of dents. I dont really care. That one is on the roof and you cant really see it unless you are looking for it. I say you at least talk to them and let them know what they did. Sorry if you already did this, i didnt read throught the whole thread.

Yes, that would annoy the heck out of me.

Have you confronted the girls yet? Or gotten estimates?

I would be pretty upset, especially if they were messing with my antennas. I'd make them pay for it.

Ok finally see it with the video. Damage of property no matter how large or small should result in them paying for it. Same goes if I damage someone elses property.. its what makes the world go round.

Its Vandalism, bottom line. However unintentional it might have been, damaged still happened.

Also, it happened AT your place of business. You went to the company and advised them of the situation....they ARE aware and legally must act on this by disciplinary action against the employees. If they fail to do that, they are complicit in the vandalism and opening themselves up to legal issues which I am certain they do not want.

If the girls get fired, however sad that might be, its a consequence of their actions....too bad ladies.

Additionally, I would file a police report so its on record that this happened.

People that are saying let it slide are fucking crazy. It would be one thing if it was a friend, but it was some randon dumbass bird. Getting them all fired would be harsh but if you can't get the dent out easily by yourself they need to split the cost to get it repaired

this. i would be pretty pissed. and whoever also said pretty girls get away with too much.. yeah that too. screw em. pay for the dent fix and take a suspension. theres pranks and then theres vandalism.

and why the hell did she need to step on your roof to get to the antenna? that just shows me the lack of intelligence and respect on their part.

edit: i didnt see those antennas until i watched the video... i assumed you meant the radio antenna.
    whatever. suspend!

respect being the bigger issue. you cant fix stupid.

100% agree. I'd be pissed off to no end if some f-ing idiot..male or female..damaged my truck in any way. I'd force them to pay to fix that dent professionally. It doesn't matter if it is really noticeable or not...it's damage and I would not be satisfied at all if I knew that my truck had a dent like that caused by somebody else's stupidity. Harsh, I know, but just the thought of someone standing on my roof to hang a bag of trash up there and I would have absolutely have no problem having those girls fired.

OP, have you had taken any action or had any resolution yet?

I definitely think they need to be held responsible. Were it my truck I think I'd get a quote from the paintless dent repair guy, I'd ask for that amount then try and fix it myself. Whether they'd want to come up with cash or just clock in as me for a shift so I get paid for their work would make no difference. I think it's a little harsh to fire them for it, they thought they were being funny but it turns out they're just dumb.

There definitely needs to be some repercussions to their actions though. Another thing too is why isn't there some high school courses focusing on what is a funny prank and what is vandalism or just plain stupid? There's a lot of supposed 'pranks' I've heard about that would get me seriously pissed off if someone did them to me or my truck/property/etc. This one is a good example of a stupid prank. Would have been real awesome too if they'd have managed to bend/break/wreck your antennas too or have some goo sludge in the garbage run out the hole and out onto your roof where it baked on in the sun.

Good pranks are funny and don't cost the prankee much if any money, and don't wreck any of their stuff. Flour in the air intake that destroys the interior is not a funny prank. Painstakingly filling the cab or someone's truck with packing peanuts when they left the window cracked is a funny prank. Putting bologna slices on the paint on a hot day that wrecks the paint is not a funny prank. Putting your buddy's truck on craigslist for sale real cheap so he gets a million phone calls is a funny prank. It's not rocket science...

Yes but be careful with those, it was on the news the other day, someone listed a womans boat for free on CL and a bunch of people came to get it, but her dog started barking and she was able to stop them from stealing her boat. But also, i still dont see why she had to get on the roof to do, can she not stand in the bed and reach the antennas?...or be smart and stand on the front of the bed behind the cab, not the roof? or hell even the rail of the bed. That was a dumb prank gone bad, Ide still have her pay for it, its the only real way for her to learn a lesson, it might cause her to think next time. I had someone throw their nasty drink on my car one time, i have no clue what it was but i had to scrub it off and the cameras didnt pick up that area, i was flippin PO'ed. That mess aint funny, saran wrapping someones car is... people just need to think.

Any news on whats happening with the situations? I dunno if I would want any sexual favors from her, from the looks of the dent she doesnt look small unless she jumped on the roof, ive been on my roof plenty of times and never dented it.

    Figure it out yet?!

FWIW- make the one that did it pay to fix it and chalk it up to experience.

you're right i skrink wrapped a girls car at work as a joke ( we cut up a lot) well one of her friends thought she would get me back and take my freshly pin stripped motorcycle helmet (NEW) and hide it from me. well when she did this she laid it on its side and pushed it with her foot on my shop floor. scratched the hell out of it. Not to get off topic just liked your quote the ALWAYS get out of hand.

as far as the roof i'd PDR it and let her pay should be cheap

I actually had this happen to my Truck. I was hanging out with a friend of mine and his kids at the local Mud hole and while I wasn't around one of the kids jumped up on my roof and put a very noticable dent in it. Through talking to other people that were theyre I figured out what kid dented my roof But to this day I haven't said anything to his Father. His Father is one of my closest friends and we have each been there for each other in our Times of need so I didn't want to say anything that might put him out or make him feel responsible. My Roof is still dented and it still burns me every time I see it. But for those of you that say what if it was your Truck you would do the same thing well it was my truck and it comes down to your relationship with these girls and how you hope to maintain a good work environment if they all continue to work there.

What dent? Pictures don't show. Anyway, visit Dent Dr. have it repaired, and give a copy of repair bill to Mgr, and all three of the girls. Then, demand that one of them pay it! Who cares which one. Tell them to stay the hell away from your Taco. Finally, take better pictures, just in case things don't work out, and you end up seeking litigation.
