Yeah, that's like what I had mentioned before. Treat it as you would if everything was perfectly fine with your marriage, or how a marriage should be. When you smother, are overly apologetic, try way too hard to hold on - she will interpret it as insincerity and treat it as such.

Rather than trying to understand women I focus on learning what the triggers are that lead to the bickering. Basically I've learned to just keep my mouth shut and I only offer advice when asked.

My wife and I can communicate great for the most part, but there are some things we just don't see eye to eye on (this is expected with anyone). So rather than argue and make each other mad, we both try to bite ours lips.

Really glad to hear you were able to see and talk to her even if it was just a Hi and Bye.

Mark, I don't know you, but I will pray for you brother, I been there . I lost my wife and son, because of things I done when I was young. I got a second chance with a wonderful woman, and we had a troubled time in our marriage, 'we' worked on it . We just made 18 years of marriage, believe it or not we are friends with my ex and me and my son are very close. As bleak as things seem, things will work out. It might not be what you want but over time things heal. Stay focused on your daughter, she will need you . As for as your wife, Space, give it to her. The more attention you give her the worst it will be. You have to be strong for Mark and your daughter . I pray to give you strength , focus, and peace. In Jesus name .Amen

Give your wife space man. I would suggest you just both sit down and get all the problems sorted out. Now I'm single but I do know marriage is like a good friendship. If you both truely love each other God will sort things out.

Thanks for the prayers again everyone. This thread has been very encouraging to me. I tear up everytime I come check it. I am encouraged, as we are beginning to speak "a little." And she actually called me yesterday while I was at work just to say hi!

    Thanks guys!

Another update, me and the wife talked on the phone for a while last night and seems we made some progress! I am beginning to understand a bit more of where she is coming from, and how that affects where she is currently at, and how I can do better moving forward, since I can only work on me. I am continuing to stay strong, encouraged, and handle things how I believe God wants me too. Please continue to pray for my wife, myself, my family, and all the influences in our lives. Thanks!

Thanks! She has been sending me messages the last two days, thanking me for providing, etc., I can only hope they mean she is thinking about what we have. I went out on a limb and sent her flowers this afternoon

Sounds like things are starting to get better man! Its good to hear the little improvements being made so far. Also George Washington said it best on marriage: "it is the foundation of a mans misery and joy".

Prayers sent, to two people that seem to be trying. Hang in there, don't quite 2 minutes before the miracle.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion and prayers! Indeed praise God!

Amen, brother. While she isn't staying at our house this weekend, she will be in the area and I am hoping we can spend some time together. I know the evil one will be trying hard to make things not go well, so I must be on guard!

I wish I was in Indiana, I will like to be you-re friend. Of course you have my prayers,
but what will save your marriage is you-re conviction and you-re faith in our Savior.
    May God bless you,

    Thanks for the kind words!

So weekend went well, really well. She didn't stay at the house, but we did spend a lot of time together and talked about a lot of things. Even if they weren't resolved, I know it helps just to air things out sometimes as well.

She left for her mom's again last night, after having dinner with me at our house. And she is coming back Thursday, for the whole weekend, and will be staying back at the house!

Please pray this goes well, and neither one of us allow the Evil One to get his foot in the door!

Keep praying, and I will keep doing my best, IT'S WORKING! PRAISE BE TO GOD!

Awesome, man! So great! If you'd like (I don't have to give any specifics) I can ask my Mother to get her usual prayer group chain thing going and add you to their prayer requests. She is the person people call when they need prayers because they know she will get everyone praying! haha I am excited for you, brother! :D

Stay strong. It's really good to see a man that is trying to do whatever it takes to bring back his family. I pray that you will continue to seek council from The Lord and be patient. May The Lord bless you and keep you and may He make His face to shine down upon you. May The Lord grant you His wisdom and give you peace. I pray that The Lord will give your wife the wisdom and council that she needs and keep your family safe.
