This may sound silly but is it easy to reinstall if I decide to do it?

I took off the chrome emblems but left on the TRD decals. If you want to remove the do it sooner than later because the sun will fade the paint a good bit, because after only 4 months mine were slightly different from the rest and took a lot of goo gone and elbow grease to fix

I really don't know. I imagine you'd need to buy NEW vinyl wrap since it gets stretched and distorted upon removal. I have seen multiple guys on TW who wrap just about anything!

    I took everything off.
I like the look and it's easier to clean/polish/wax.
Emblems hold dirt and water, staining the paint.

The first thing I did when I got the truck was remove that "advertisement" of a sticker on the bedside. I do not need everyone knowing I have a TRD Off-Road. Besides, I like the bedside looking clean without stickers. Just recently, I removed the Tacoma and V6 badges from the doors and tailgate.

I didn't know the black portion between the front and rear side windows was vinyl. I think that will be coming off next. I also plan to plasti-dip the grill.

On my 2013 TX Baja, I removed the huge Baja sticker, probably there to compete with the Raptor. I bought it in Portland, OR in July 2013 (one of the only white ACC TX Baja MTs made that year) and drove it back to Albuquerque through the Black Rock desert at 100+ degrees. The stickers peeled right off in that heat. No heat gun needed?

On my 17 I added black vinyl inserts to the concave "Tacoma" on the tailgate. So, I've done both.

Did you plasti-dip these badges, or are they overlays? I just got the Overlays but the letter "A" is filled in with plastic and it drives me nuts. your's doesn't show that, so I'm wondering how you did yours?

First thing I did was remove the stealership lisence plate holder with their name on it....then debadged everything, but I gotta say, they are using some strong glue on the side back 4by TRD off-road decals! Was a bitch to get off, used thinner, goof off and decal adhesive remover...... then clayed and waxed.
I like it easy to clean & wax. MGM color looks better without all the advertisements! IMOP. Did the same on my 03 Taco when I got it, and still have it.....and it shifts better toooooo.......

thank you for the info, @Captqc

the plastidip option looks much better than the Nox Lux emblems. problem is, the shop just put the Nox Lux overlays on my truck. I was under the impression they were Toyota OEM overlays that fit better, but they aren't. really wish I would have looked at the plastidip option closer.

it does seem very hard to get the tape inside the A's and O. I feel like i'd end up really making it look scraggly.

hopefully the shop can help me take the current ones off and maybe plastidip them while they are off, and reinstall. that's best case scenario :)

I just cut small pieces of masking tape and used tweezers to get them in position. Takes awhile but it looks good.
