Save some money, look into a 3" Icon lift or some other, research this site, 3" with 35s will go as ruff as you will want to take your new truck.

What ever you do, don't go with a spacer lift. Good luck.

you don't have to worry about me going that cheap..ha ha, I will never do a spacer lift. This will be a full suspension lift. I'm just debating how much i'm going to spend on the initial mod's......getting the wife to "buy in" after spending the 27K on the truck is the tricky part.....

Thanks again for all of your help. Hearing it come from guys (and gals) who own these trucks is always better than somebody trying to sell me their crap...ha ha

I agree, I built my truck to tow my Jeep. Gets me there and back, I went with air bags for the rear, load up my gear, hook up the Jeep and off to Moab at 80mph.

nice flex....never did make it to moab. Was stationed at Fort Riley, and our jeep club did go to MOAB, but I couldn't get leave approved through the Army during that time and missed it.....I didn't think the Tacoma's could pull a trailer and a 5K lb jeep?

You can spend a lot of money on them. I have had many Toyots, had a few FJ40S with hot V8s. The Tacoma has been a great tow vehicle.

sorry, I digressed. So would some Yukon 4:88's be sufficient to put into the Tacoma?

4:88s and 35s, will crawl very well. Really comes down to what you want. I have seen a cheap drop bracket bend out on the trail.

I knew this was going to happen, that's why I shopped around for the CHEAPEST base model I could find, then do all of the MOD's the way I wanted them, to equal the price of a NEW Toyota Tacoma OFFROAD package.....

I really need to see if a straight axle will fit in the front of my Tacoma....might be a good thread to look up, somebody had to have that idea before....I'm sure
