Yep, spent the last 40 minutes reading through the thread, still not caught up yet but it makes more sense now. I love the chamfered edges on the columns.
What product were you using to coat the inside of the forms with? I assume it was to give a more finished look to the concrete once you pulled the forms?

Be sure and get the yellow board stretcher. I never use the blue one. A man has to have some standards

yeah outside rafters on rakes are not on 16" centres and the 2/12 rafter are all on 16" centres pulled off the 2x12 rafter layout so the middle 2x6 rafters sister to the side of the 2x12 tails

Glad my eye still works. Makes sense though. Wasn’t overly worried about it though.

Today I cut the rafter tails to length , installed the sub-fascia , cut and installed frieze and mid span blocking , installed the GRK screws spec'd by the engineer and laid out and chalked lines for strapping I will install tomorrow

All rafters get a 3/8" x 8" GRK RSS screw down through top of rafter at the seat cut into the 4x12 beam to resist wind uplift

On the top end , the 2x6 rafters that connect to the doubled sub-fascia at either end of the building get 3 #12 x 6 3/8" GRK R4 through screws per rafter (the 2x6 rafters at mid span of the building where there is no sub-fascia sister alongside the 2x12 rafter tails and are connected with 12 gun spikes per rafter)

all rafters cut to length and blocking installed at beam line and mid-span

Tomorrow I'll strap and sheet the roof and put down peel & stick , hopefully before the rain that's forecast shows up

So you just butted the rafter up and put 3 screws in it? Why wouldnt you use a joist clip? Just curious.

Engineer wanted a more robust connection there .

Rafters were toe nailed to sub-fascia with about 6 / 3" gun spikes for installation , I came back later and added the screws

After doing this shit as long as you and I have though, technically we both could engineer shit better than some of the asshats that I work with and continually have to fix. Obviously for me it would be in the concrete and steel world more than your timber framing stuff.
