It’s stupid cheap if you hunt around. It cost me $1,500 in total. People have done it for cheaper.

I spent more on my front coilovers and UCAs than Tyler did on his entire 4x4 conversion.

When it comes down to it, it's more an issue with time and motivation than it is money. He did his in highschool. Not exactly the "rolling in cash" stage of life...

Worked my ass off to get those parts in High School. I drove five hours to Reno to get my transmission and some other 4WD parts for the swap.

Sold it later for $350. Then I sold my other 2WD parts like both front steering knuckles for $200. So really, my swap only cost $950.

Or less than a set of good all terrain tires.

Yes, he did in fact convert his over to 4wd a couple years ago. as far as I know, he still has it. I helped him install a powertrax no slip locker several years ago when it was still a pre runner.

Whether he's kept that in, in conjunction with his 4x4 conversion, I'm not sure of.

So that $1500 was before selling the old parts off??

Damn, I assumed that was after you sold off the old stuff, so your net cost was $1500.

    damn.

$1,500 is before I sold off my old parts. Here's my expense sheets if y'all don't believe me. I only spent ~$950

This is WITH new OEM axle seals, gaskets, drain and fill plugs, snaprings, and rebuilt manual hubs.

Can be done for less thatn 1500. I think mine was 1200 and I fucked up the front bearings so that was like a 200 set back haha. So around 1K. I did the bare minimum though.
Just the main components. A little maintenance nothing crazy.

Oh he has my old front differential, haha. That's @Uphillshunter

He was extra 2.0 and did twin sticks, new valve body check balls, etc.
