Nah the PT cruiser is undeniably the coolest vehicle ever constructed

I'd take a Pontiac aztec over a PT cruiser

Wrong. 2005-2008 Pre-runner Sport has mechanical LSD. 2009+ have A-LSD. SR5 Pre-runner's have open differentials. All Off-Road have E-Lock and open differentials.

I can second that! My Lexus RX AWD had A-LSD, put it in 50/50 mode... In Galveston on the beach, and Port Fourchon crawling sand hills to get to the jetties... no problems!

I for sure care about both pt cruzers and Subaru! I would love to have one! If I get wheel placement just right, I think I can run over both of them, that would make a kickass Pre-runner video! Lol! So, I'd say yes, there is some value to pt cruzers and Subaru's. Make awesome videos! Lol!

Sorry, had to say it, it was too easy :)

Way back in the day when the PT Loser came out...I had a neighbor who had a constant chub for one. Rather then wait a few months for production to meet the demand, he snagged an early one from a local dealer. Goober paid $3500 over sticker. About a 18 months later he realized the error of his ways...as people were paying $2-3k under sticker for what was essentially a Dodge Neon with a big trunk.

Ok y'all. I've been doing some serious upgrades. I just went full Kings, extended travel in the front and 12" smoothies w/ a BAMF relocate in the rear. Next on board is an ECGS 3rd member with an ARB locker and a regear.

My question, which I would love to discuss, is what gear ratio to go with. Im an automatic & run 33s and that won't change. What are y'all thoughts?

I'd spend the money on a locker before gears

I think he's doing it all at once, makes sense when the 3rd is opened up for a locker. Check the 4.88's thread for a lot of good feedback. I did a search for "33" within that thread and a shit ton of people are running 4.88's with 33's (which I think is overkill), I think I'd personally go with like a 4.39ish. All things being equal, more weight will call for taller gears, so think about more than just the tires when you're doing your gearing calculations.

You are correct. I'm doing this primarily for a locker, but regearing is free.

How much will a locker help? My mechanical limited slip has done pretty well even in offroad hill climbs and ruts as long as I keep moving

It will change everything. It's when tires leave the ground that it makes the rear difference.
