Maybe if you are going slow but you want to go fast in the sand and if your fronts don't have any part in moving the vehicle you want them skinny as possible to cut through the sand

air down and keep your momentum up. i have a 2wd open diff and i go out to dumont and glamis every year and i havent got stuck yet.

... and yes, it does help to air down all four

I would use the auto lsd feature of your truck, it may help. When you come to a stop just let off the gas and let the truck roll to a stop if you can, that way you don't dig into the sand. Have fun!

You don't know what you're talking about

Always air down all four tires trust me I've done tons of sand and silt driving

12psi for the rears and 15psi for the fronts

EDIT: BTW I've done 75mph with this set up

    "cutting through sand" = anchors

IMO- dont do it. Think of how bad this could be with stock tires and no help from the front. Better have a 4x4 behind you!
