Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
It could be a toll for some indeed. I have decided to go to the non ADD diff.

I thought about that as well, but then realized I don't think I've ever engaged 4wd at a very high speed. I think the limit is like 62mph from the factory to be able to do that. Who is driving that fast and then suddenly realizes they need 4wd? Any time I've ever decided to shift into 4wd I usually come to a slow crawl maybe 5-10 mph. IMO shifting at a high speed wears out the components just as fast as shifting the transfer case last, the transfer case has a 2/4hi syncho just like a transmission so it was designed to shift in and out of 4wd whether the front driveshaft was rotating prior to it changing states.

Shifting from 2H to 4H with the shaft already spinning is easier on the t-case than with ADD. The hub/gears are already spinning at the correct speed so the synchro has almost no work to do.

Hold up. If you are running the A750F, you can't use the FJ tcase from a 6 speed manual FJ. You can only use the FJ tcase from the automatic FJs.

The FJ tcase from the 6 speed manuals is an AWD/full-time tcase and will not physically work with the A750(F).

Just making sure you are getting the correct tcase.

I am NOT using a transfer case from a Manual Transmission FJ cruiser, I’ll be using a manual transfer case out of an automatic transmission FJ.

it’s the same, only difference it I was lazy enough since I don’t have a welder to ‘make’ anything.

I ended up using a shifter that Wyatt at RST provided, parts that I bought last year. Had asked for a conversion shifter to come up through the coin tray and they delivered.
I just had to bend the flat bar extension what they gave me back a little. I was hesitant of their work at first, minus their troubles right now.
The AP shifter was ideal for no fab work; only picked the RST shifter because it fit closer off the start for what I wanted.

If you're doing a 6" lift on your truck you will only need the rear diff support since the kit will usually supply their own front supports.
