Im not a very experienced welder but I’m using a 1/2 steel rod. A 2 inch piece on bottom, 3 1/2 inch piece going back, and a 8 1/2 inch piece going up. That’s it, was pretty worried about this part but it’s easy

Fellas help me confirm this info. So I ordered the transfer case on eBay. I went by the description and I was like “oh I’m going to check the vin(JTEBU5JR5G5344908) listed” which I did and I find that the description was misleading. This is not the right transfer case am I correct? I asked the dude and he confirmed it was the one I was looking for. Luckily they haven’t send the item and therefore if it’s the incorrect one I’ll be requesting the money back and order a different one. I really appreciate the help. Thanks

VIN pulls up a 4Runner, which according to this post, some 4runners use the same fj t case

JTEBU5JR5G5344908 is a 2016 4Runner Trail Package and has a manual transfer case, which would be the correct one to use for this setup.

Ok here’s the deal I typed the vin on the parts.VenturaToyota.com website and it shows as a trail premium and when I go to the parts breakdown shows a transfer case motor. Pn 3641034015. I will be running a non add front diff and my transmission is an A750F.

The parts website is incorrect. This transfer case does not have a motor, it is full manual selection. 36410-34015 does not apply to Trail Package vehicles.

(The way Toyota does the packages on the 4Runner makes it harder for catalog filtering to catch things like this).

2010-2012 SR5 and 2010+ Trail, TRD Off-Road, and TRD Pro use a full manual case.
    2013-2021 SR5 and 2010+ Limited/Nightshade use an electric actuator.

So the same as the one of the FJ Cruiser, I just looked at a video and shows the same pattern on the lever. Btw, whats the code for this transfer case(ie. For the 4x4 transmission = A750F) again Jeff, thank you.

Parts rolling in, now is just a matter of waiting for the transfer case inspect seals and a couple of bolts that will be arriving Monday. Shits getting real :anonymous:
