Awesome dude! I finished my conversion in about 3 days. Best mod ever done to the taco.

    P. S. I was the only truck in our group that was able to get up this ledge. Pretty steep. Front lockers and front sway bar delete was mandatory.

Aight so your measurements were correct then, I don’t want to cut outside of the contour of the coin holder.

Do you have picture of the crossmember mod? Did you do 4x4 prop shaft or went custom?

I went with a 1 pc rear shaft since I didnt want to have to deal with driveline vibration. I think I posted some pics of my crossmember earlier in the post.

Yeah i was surprised how quick it went. I didnt have to drop the transmission so thats probably why. I used an inchworm adapter to adapt the xfer case to a prerunner tranny.

I looked and couldn’t find solid info. All the topics went off rails and shit like that.

I tried to find them and it looks like they dont make them anymore which sucks because converting to 4x4 would've been way cheaper with it. I must've bought the last one which explains why it I got it at a crazy price. They were selling for $300-400 and I got it for $170. I cant even find a pic anymore online.

Have you been wheeling yet? All the torque in 4LO and the frame abs body flexing and that’ll rub the plastic. In the FJ case thread I noticed a lot of people with Auto’s who put the shifter there had to cut away the right side a bit.

Could you prevent that by giving it a slight angle towards the driver side?

Good point, if that’s a problem I’ll cut it later.

Yep this worked out pretty well. Your driveshaft lives on @Mech_Eng lol

I’m really not sure as I haven’t done this yet and I have a manual. It’ll be easy for me when I put the FJ case in since I’ll just have to poke a hole in my boot.

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner
you may be a little tight up against the right side for 4lo but you also have the shifter coming from the front. I have mine more at an angle off the base.
I tried. But ran into clearance issues with the stock auto shifter I trimmed as little as I could on the right side where I could still try to make a clean boot install

10-4 I’ll be at reppin’ once completed here. I’ll be starting with the business in the front and then party on the back.

I had trouble with them playing tummy sticks with each other. And with the t-case shifter hitting the side of the console when in 4LO. So you’ll probably still have to mod the stick. I ended up moving mine to the left to of the main shifter.
