All the parts range in price except for any new parts like CV axles hub bearings all the other parts like the front diff transmission transfer case drive shaft you get used and those parts will range depending on where you get them and who has them. When I did my conversion a year ago I was lucky and did my complete conversion for $1,500 including Parts since I'm a mechanic and do this stuff for a living I just did the work myself

I plan on doing the work myself. Just trying to figure out when to pull the trigger.

Gotcha . when I decided to do mine I started rounding up parts piece by piece it took me roughly six months to have everything I needed and just knock it out in one day

This is the website that I used for reference on pricing and also bought a few parts from . it is a nationwide website that links all junk yards together so you can see who has what and you can see locations from where you're at. I'm getting ready to help @ChamYota do his in the next month or two

Nice! I've just built my truck the way I like it so I'm not about to trade it in. And honestly, doing the swap is more satisfying.

Finished up the transfer case the other night. It was pretty cool taking it apart and seeing how everything worked

Thats the shaft that needs to live inside the tcase
    IMG_3362.jpg

    Manual v auto input shafts
    IMG_3363.jpg

input shaft cover and front pinion flange were the first things which needed to come off

    IMG_3368.jpg IMG_3370.jpg

split the case to get to the oil pump and planetary gear set
    IMG_3372.jpg

    oil pump out

    IMG_3375.jpg

gear set finally removed along with both input shafts
    IMG_3376.jpg

    operating room aka washing machine..
    IMG_3377.jpg

All buttoned up, the huge snap rings suck if you dont have the right pliers, which I didn't..
    IMG_3378.jpg

getting everything ready on the side of the case, I ended up greasing the 3 little keys which the 4x4 engagement gear slides over otherwise there was no way they were going to hold themselves in there while sliding the big ring gear over them and putting the cases back together
    IMG_3379.jpg

    IMG_3380.jpg IMG_3381.jpg

final test fit/sanity check. everything ended up going back together and shifted smooth and buttery thru the 2wd,4wd,4lo. the levers contact each other in a few positions so I will need to address that. in 2wd I wont be able to get into 5th or 6th. I have a URD short shifter on the way but im going to have the cut the t case shifter to angle it more passenger and potentially forward depending on how it looks when its bolted up to the truck.

Looks good . You can also look in to a twin stick set up also for the tcase it might help out with clearance issues. You can get on rock-solid Toyotas and talk to Wyatt he specializes in the FJ Cruiser twin-stick setups he is also the guy that did the very first PreRunner to 4 wheel drive conversion. He will also have the ADD plug-and-play switch that you will need to activate the front diff if I remember he sells them for about $140

RST is where I learned a lot about the swap initially but it seems like the forum is down or something?

Nice. Good job with the T case. I wish I took mine apart and changed the seals before installing it. I only took it apart to do the twin stick mod and made sure the inside was clean. I'm getting a little weep where the tcase bolts to the trans so I think the input shaft is leaking...
