So which drivetrain did you like better the 2015 or 2016? I was thinking about trading in for a newer model.

Was 20, paid wayyyy too much for it and had nothing but issues. Think it would be easier to list the things I didn't fix or replace. All that being said I loved the thing. Had some serious balls, did great in the snow and I loved the look of it. Will never buy a Dodge again though.

Sold my 2002 Tacoma for a 1993 Eurovan. Didn't use it for camping as much as I had hoped and decided to move on. Was fun to drive while it lasted!

Nice. Was that a syncro? Have an '84 Westy that is my other driver. Nice combo!

Not a syncro. I've always wanted a Westy too, maybe one day...

The Westy has been great, especially with kids. I always wanted a syncro but way too much $$ for me to be able to play. converted to a Subaru 2.5 and a lift and Peloquin and it does pretty well. Plan to drive it and the wife will take the Taco, and will have the perfect backroad camping combo. And, congrats on the Taco!

2015 by far better engine but 2016 far better interior.

You can always sell your tacoma and buy a used tundra.

Kinda in the process, I just no longer need a full size truck for work anymore. Not sure what to buy. I like smaller vehicles just would like 4 seats and would prefer to have a bed and 4x4/awd for boat ramps. Looking at first gen or second gen tacoma's/Rav4/4runners.

I just can't imagine paying 15k for a well maintained 1st gen when you can get a base 3rd gen for 10k more brand new. I do like how small they are considering a DCSB tacoma is now the same size as an access cab 1st gen tundra. It's kind of nerve racking to take a wider truck through the trails here.

I like the 4runner but it's seriously outdated at this point and needs a big refresh or new generation.

Exactly why I haven't done anything yet. I have also considered another Wrangler my 02 was great I just make 8 hour round trips about once a month and they aren't the best on the highway... Every 4Runner used around here thats 4wd is either 15kish with 200k plus or 20kish 100k plus. Same with Tacoma's.

I'm looking at used for the most part, 4x4/awd, 4 seats, not a full size truck or suv if I can get away with it, and only towing a boat and trailer that fully loaded weighs about 600 pounds, any ideas would be appreciated lol also reliable/comfortable on the highway is another plus.

Any good CUV would work. My wife has a 2015 Acura RDX AWD with tech package and it's a great comfy car. I believe it can tow a max of 1500 pounds. We've had zero issues with it.

Haven't looked at Acura, just Toyota and Honda for the most part. I'll check those out, thanks!

My previous truck before my 2017 sport Taco was a 2015 bass model Taco! It was an okay little truck. Now I have some awesomeness to cruise around in :)
