    Hey folks,

Thinking about getting the Prinsu Pro rack - anyone know if the wind deflector is height adjustable? I don't want it to touch the roof & I am ok with the wind noise. The outer side pieces seem to have adjustments slots, but the inner side pieces have just two holes...

    Thanks

I was going to say no but then I looked at the pics I took. It’s the 4 screws, 2 on each side, that hold the wind deflector. You might just have enough room for one screw on the top slot and one on the middle slot, or have both in the top slots.

There is a “bar” that goes the entire length of the wind deflector that is just held in by the 4 bolts on the side. You can see that bar behind the deflector in the second pic.

Also to add, the mounting feet are slightly adjustable so you may be able to make sure the deflector does not touch at all anyway. I’m hoping to put mine on tomorrow and will let you know and share up close pics.

Thank you both for the response!

So, this is what I mean with the adjustable outer sides and only two holes for the inner pieces:

I am not sure if the inner piece is able to move upwards with respect to the outer piece or if I need to drill another hole in the inner piece.

hyrule_trd - closeup photos would be much appreciated!

Yep, forgot about those inner pieces. Not sure if I’ll get it on there today or not.

I’ll try and grab more close up pics when I get a chance

Here are some more pics. I’d say you might be able to drill new holes through the back plate or maybe not install the plate if you’re not going to have a lot of weight. The problem would be you needing suitable washers to go between the outer plate and the cross bars. It’s possible the mounting plate have large enough holes to make up the difference when installed too.

In the last photo, I have the mounting feet set to the lowest they’ll adjust to. It’s not much.

I’ll get instal pics once it’s on the roof… maybe today or tomorrow :fingerscrossed:

Got mine on today. With the trim it touches. I can’t say for sure if it would touch without it but it might not.
It doesn’t look like it would.
