I'm just waiting for the day that I can go get my crew max. I love my taco but I would like to be able to actually have room in the back for my kids (both are in car seats). Get both kids, the wife and the dog and the truck is full to the max, and that's with the dog on the floor.

Just recently sold my 5lug for a '11 Tundra. Much more comfy than the Tacoma bench seat, and mpg is close to the same.

The interior space of a Tacoma cannot conspire to that of a Tundra. So much more room..even to a small guy like myself lol

I seen a Toyota commercial yesterday advertising 0% financing for 60 months. That's got me thinking I could prolly save a few bucks on my monthly note and be in a bigger ride too. Though Im sure I wont be able to spec out a Tundra like I have with my 2012 Off Road Tacoma, but I think the extra room and power would be a decent trade off. Anyway, Just thinkin bout makin the switch....

Well, it has come to the point that I am saying goodbye to my 2012 Tacoma DCSB TRD Sport and picking up a 2013 Tundra DCSB. I love my Tacoma and it was the perfect truck for me until I got a larger camper. The larger camper was just a bit much for the Tacoma. Still within towing limits and I was good pulling for short distances, however wind gusts, tractor trailers, etc caused some white knuckle times. Also the Tacoma was a bit under powered when dealing with steady inclines. The heavier Tundra with the increased pulling power should help with that, I also like the fact that the Tundra has a tranny temp gauge standard.

I was tempted to wait until the 2014's, as I do like the redesigned interior (I don't like the new exterior grill), but with the incentives going on, I couldn't resist.

I wanted the 5.7 TRD Off Road, however the dealer wouldn't make the deal I wanted, so settled for a 5.7 base with the 18" wheels.

The Tundra is a beast to drive as compared to the Tacoma, however getting used to it. I do miss my JBL system in the Tacoma. Looks like I will have to go aftermarket for a decent HD radio.

I traded my 09 Tacoma for a 2013 Tundra dbl cab TRD OR with the 5.7. I loved the Taco and put a lot of money into it but wanted something bigger and was tired some of the vibes I was starting to get. The Tundra has been great so far rides really good, lots of space, and is surprisingly quick.

Also seriously considered an F150 FX4 5.0 and may have ended up with one had the dealer seemed more interested in actually selling vehicles. Happy with the Tundra though.

Thanks man! Soon... I'm getting it tinted this coming weekend. Going all the way around. Then ill get some exhaust. You hear of BAmuffler? This guy custom makes exhaust sustems. I think I'm going to order from him. Then from there who knows. Ill probably relocate the dif breather soon too. Oh, I didn't get the jbl system because I don't use the nav. Loved the sound in my 2012 tacoma, but never used the nav. So ill be upgrading the speaker system. I seriously love this truck though. Tons of power and it feels solid driving.

Just get one of each. The taco to play with, the Tundra for work/travel. Definately get the 5.7L, 4wd, towing pkg. You really shouldnt expect gas mileage with the 5.7L, I average 13. The taco gets 18-20 after I regeared it.

My brother has been a Tundra guy since he bought an 01, then traded it for a 5.7 DCSB Tundra after the dealer replaced the frame on his 01. I cruised in a 95.5 single cab Taco until the fall of 2011 and bought a 2011 DCLB Taco. It's been Taco VS Tundra for awhile!

I noticed that in my bro's Tundra the rear seat was wider, but I was still hitting my knees when sitting in the back seat. I don't have that issue in my Taco, but yes the passenger compartment isn't as wide. Another guy mention trouble with a baby seat in the back of his Taco, dunno what he's talking about. The front of his Tundra does seem roomier than mine though.

The trim options on the Taco leave room for improvement when compared to the Tundra. But I can't afford the extra $$$ for all that.

My brother installed a rear sway bar to stiffen up his Tundra. I installed 2" OME in mine 3k after I drove it home, and rightly can't even remember how it handled stock.

Taco wins hands down in fuel economy, even if its 18mpg at best.

I think a lot boils down to how the truck will be used, especially lots of towing/hauling. I see a lot of construction and landscape companies using the new 5.7 Tundras.

I know I still wanted a reliable and sturdy truck, but cant afford the Tundra.

i own both a 2012 tundra crew max and a 2012 tacoma double cab and i love them both for what they are. i drive them both easy because i care for my trucks the taco has an sr5 with 4wd and the tundra has 2wd and a topper i use the taco for my daily driver and it does great for short trips and parking but i use the tundra for my long trips because it is smoother and has way more room to stretch out and relax i think its a matter of your needs because they are both great trucks and i would buy either one again in a heart beat
