Pro Comp 6 inch lift AND Bilstein 5100

Hey guys,
Does anyone have a pro comp 6 inch lift with diff drop and Bilstein 5100s set at the 3” lift (.85)?

You can do it but there are better ways to do it rather than preloading your spring. It'd just be a harsh ride with lots of rebound, no real travel up or down. The way to go if you want extra height is to run cranked coilovers. If you dont want to spend coilover money, Bilstein makes a full length 5100 series shock that can be paired with any 6" lift kit. I'm pretty sure some RCD kits come standard with them. I would pair a full length shock with a toytec or OME coil for that extra lift. I have seen standard length 5100s with toytec lift coils and the strut spacer that comes with the procomp kit, but it sat at almost 9" with the UCA an inch away from hitting the spacer. Not a great setup. The strut spacer is only meant for stock coilovers

 

Which toytec spring do you recommend? I got the rcd 5100 shocks but need a coil to go with it as the baja suspension has a different coil

 

The part number for the shock should be
F4-BE5-E122-T0. You can use any coil as long as it's an extended length one. Personally I have the OME 887, but I preferred the toytec 521600 coil just because it was silver and matched the bilstein. Both spring rates are similar, 590/600.

They will work, but the spring rate is significantly higher. Unless you are running weight on your front bumper (winch or steel bumper) I would stay away and run the 521600. They will both sit at exactly the same height with stock bumper weight so there will be no difference in leveling. Keep in mind that the bilstein shock doesn't have as aggressive valving as fox/king so there is no way to mitigate the stiff ride if you do go with a higher spring rate with no bumper weight.

I couldn't tell you that for sure. I am running a rear Deaver AAL and a 4" block and I still have a slight rake. I would like to run a slightly smaller block or remove my AAL but I still do some towing, so the rake helps me keep level.

 

Either way you go, 600 or 620 you will still get the same amount of lift

 

i changed a friends rear to the 3" AP Expo springs and got rid of the 4" block. truck sits level and can still tow his 14' boston whaler without squatting.
