Hey guys new to forum, I am wanting to get the 3" procomp because of your great feed back. I wanted to know what is the shopping list of needed items or accesories to make this kit work and work right. I dont want to wear out my taco cause I didnt get everything done. which things are extra but good to do and which things are needed besides just ordering the kit.

I would recommend new UCA"S (upper control arms) to correct your alignment.

And possibly a front diff drop

Awesome thread! Your guys' trucks look great! Its really helping me make my decision on a lift, definitely leaning toward a pro comp now! I like the idea of getting a full 3inch lift without payin an arm and leg for it.

Couple noobish questions about the lift...where was the most inexpensive place that you guys found this? also how difficult is it to install this? and does it come with all the necessary parts...like do you need to buy an extended break line or anything else? I understand i may need to buy uca and diff drop. but anything else?

    thank you!

black tacoma thank's for being so cool man about awnsering all the questions i had about this lift. you seemed to install your lift pretty early on why would you want to be replacing bushings? is this something i should consider doing when i put my lift on this week? if so what is the best brand to go with or should they be factory bushings? thanks again for all the help buddy.

Im not sure about the bushings.. I might look into putting new ones on. Im planning on installing my procomp lift very soon. I also ordered camburg ball joint uca's to put on at the same time. no sense in installing it all and then tearing it all off to save 10$ in bushings.

Does anyone run extended brake lines? Or do the stockers reach?

yeah i already asked black taco that question he said the stock lines are good with this kit which is a plus lol. if i had the extra money laying around or if i was able to sell my tire set up now i would buy some uca's to instal when i do my lift this week. it just does not look like it will line up money wise idk if i should wait to instal it or what lol. as some guy's on here are running this kit with out ucas' and some are saying that it is the thing to do so i figured i would see if i needed them or not. it seems like its kind of a gamble because if i do end up needing them i will have to tear it all apart again which will blow. now i'm thinking about the bushings and what brand and place to buy them. if i do get new ones i would like to get he best ones money can buy due to them probably being a cheaper part any way why skimp. i just don't know if new factory bushings are the way to go or if i will need something different. any suggestion on bushings would be helpful.

With a 3" lift you do not have enough play with the stock uca for a perfect alignment. That being said any good shop can get it close but not perfect. As for brands I recommend the light racing because the higher end uca utilize a uniball type setup which requires maitenance . Just my .02
