Do you have 1/2" wheel spacers on the front? They cause shimmy like you are describing.

Yes I do. I installed everything at 10k miles then at 25k it starting shaking now I have 38k on truck. I have to have spacers cause my tires hit upper control arm with out it

That's more than likely your problem. Idk why it waited so long to manifest itself but every Tacoma I've rode in with small spacers shook like that. I've read that extended thread lug nuts will solve this but I haven't had any personal experience with them.

There good spacers not cheap ones. There hub cemetric spacers. Idk if that makes a difference. I have put longer studs in also. That's the only way I could fit spacers

Ok after a long thought out decision, I decided to go with the pro comp 3" lift.

I had the lift installed 3 days ago with some new 285/75/16 Goodyear duratracs.. and so far so good!

The ride quality isn't nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Granted Im only 3 days into this lift, but I really like it! Decent price, and looks really good!

I'd say for the non-offroader that wants to get a 3 inch lift to fit bigger tires and turn the Tacoma into a more aggressive looking truck, go for the pro comp lift!

Don't do it. It's a pile. Save your money or get billys instead.

For everyone suggesting just getting billies, I don't understand that...If you are complaining about the pro comp lift being stiff wouldn't billies set at 2.5 be just as stiff since they're maxed out? Plus that still doesn't get you a full 3 inches, and I would have to get an AAL in the rear which would give me too much rake then I would want, so then I'd have to get a leveling kit in the front?? I don't know it just seems getting a complete lift is simpler.

Plus the fact that your adding preload to the billies.

I haven't had a single issue with my kit. For the price, its a great full 3" complete kit. Also, i get multiple compliments on how smooth it is. Including other TW members.
