:) Hi everyone, Im new to the forum. I may be asking stupid questions since I just started lifting my tacoma. I got 2001 prerunner before and just upgraded to 2011 4x4 dc Tacoma Sport recently.

Here is my situation I got pro comp 6" stage 1 kit installed with 34's Grappler M/T and the on road ride quality isn't good as I expected. Im thinking about either get the PC stage 2 upgrade kit or the Icon coilovers with resevoir rear shocks
the Icon set up is about $500 extra but if it is the right thing to do I would not hesitate to go with it.

Im in Cali and 99% out of the time I'm on road and a lot of freeway commute. I find myself a hard chance to go off road. So Im looking to go with the set up for better street performance. May be in the future I may do some off road but should not be serious.

Just need advise for my right set up. Thanks a lot :)

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Did you even read? He has a 6" procomp with 34's for him to go back to a 3" he would have to find a cross member and weld it back on.

    I would do the Icons.

Yes, you will loose some lift but if you unload the preload on them, if there is any on them, they will soften the ride

Get the icons. Have them pressurized to 190 psi's (max is 250) and you'll love both types of rides, even if you not an avid off roader. I drive up and down the 15 on the weekends, and I love how cushy the ride is. Consider doing a UCA to complete a mid travel set up, and you'll pat yourself on the back for the investment.

edit: take your sway bar off too. Night and day how it handles. No sense having a stout pair of coil over's and not letting them flex nuts.

Well since fox supposedly makes the pro comp and I have the pro comp stage ii and it rides like shit. It's really stiff and has way too much bounce. I would stick with icon or king and stay away from the foxs and the pro comps. I don't know anything about the kings or icons just know that the pro comps ride like shit.

When I order the Icon coilovers, do I have the option to ask if the dealer set the psi or I have to bring it to a shop or I can do it myself? Thanks

Icon and king and radflo all make 6" replacement coilovers. The procomp coilover is a good coilover, but it has a 720lb spring rate. I'm getting 650lb springs made til I have all the pieces to go LT

Also if you plan on keeping the kit and the truck. Get alcan rear replacement springs and fox resi shocks. Ditch the piece of shit lift block!
